Authorities have traced the ignition point just off a public road and say they found the substance used to start the historic blaze, but they would not identify it.
The so-called Station Fire has now consumed growth and structures on more than 150,000 acres, or more than 234 square miles. That's an area more than ten times the size of New York's Manhattan island. It's still not contained and has cost millions of dollars to fight with resources coming in from all over the country and Canada.

To be paid by IOU no doubt...
Dadburnit! Beat me to it!
Tax free?
Thought they were broke.
The darn fire is about 3 miles due north of my house. Luckily the newly formed winds are helping us at this time.
Of course to get to my place the fires will have to burn through some very expensive estates to reach me including an estate owned by Bill Gates!
My guess is they will make a wee bit of an effort to stop the damn thing before it reaches my shack LOL.
They are broke...
He plans to use those lovely contributions from his little illegal alien pals...
Do you need the /s ?????
maybe the state will pay in mexican pesos..
Stay safe...
Leave early if you have to go...
I’ll say a special prayer for you tonight. It must be horrible to be in a situation like you are. Hang in there. I’ve seen special reports about a new type of gel that was invented by a firefighter in Florida. It costs about $300 to fireproof a house. It is sprayed on the home and will protect the home from fire for about 18 hours. I don’t know if the product is widely available to the public. Wish you had about 4 gallons of it NOW.
I hope you stay safe.
LA is my hometown and I’m not young. This is the worst fire in a long, long time.
I’m certainly no expert on arson investigation, but I’m not totally ignorant when it comes to the physical sciences, and I just can’t fathom how a single, tiny ignition point can be identified in a 150,000 acre fire (assuming the actual setting of the fire wasn’t captured on some sort of security video), much less how any trace of the “substance” used to start it could have survived in identifiable form.
“To be paid by IOU no doubt...”
Hahahaha!
That was the first thing I thought when I read the thread title.
They do this routinely in arson investigations. I don’t know how but every arson investigations, most which are prosecuted in a court of law, are just like this one.
Maybe you should move.
I can't figure out why any rational person would want to live in Kalifornicatia anyway.
Respectfully A lot of us do live here. Where do you live that is so high and mighty?
If we hadn’t gone to war in Iraq, we could afford to fight these fires. /s
Could it be that someone spotted some guys wearing kufiyas and carrying gasoline cans running from the suspected ignition point?
Hey, you and me both!
Thanx for the info, That's the first time I have heard of that stuff....definitely worth looking into!!!!
And thank you so much for your prayers.
Like any liberal, he throws money at a problem when he has NONE.
Arnie - your state is BROKE.
