Madonna has joined Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his family in lighting Shabbat candles and reciting a blessing together with Netanyahu's wife Sarah.
A statement from Netanyahu's office said the singer spent two hours at the Netanyahu home on Friday evening.
Although not Jewish, the 51-year-old pop star claims a special bond with Israel and Jewish tradition.
She's been exploring Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, for more than a decade and has taken the Hebrew name, Esther.

I suppose their belief that the USA should mind in own business overseas (expect for giving away billions of dollars) and their “tolerance” for “alternate lifestyles” outweighs their belief that women should not be treated as property and that gays should not be beaten to death and even that cafes full of people should not bombed.
Or maybe their just too ascared to say or do anything.
I doubt Bibi is listening to Like a Prayer and Get In The Groove in the office. He’s the PM of Israel and Madonna is one of the biggest stars in the world, arguably the biggest music star in the world now that MJ has flown the coop. It’s just protocol to get a photo taken with her, it’s just good for PR and to make the ocuntry look good.
Of more importance is it seems like Bibi is following the trend Rush set at CPAC by wearing the black dress shirt with the open neck

It's hardly protocol for a PM. It was a private invitation of Bibi... and to whom would it make the country look good? I don't change my views on Israel one bit because of this (and neither will it's leftist haters), but my opinion of Netanyahu took a scratch. She has a track record of mocking and insulting Christians and Republicans... so I'd hardly call that good PR.
Well, maybe his wife or son wanted to see her badly... at least I hope so for him.
