An essay in the edited volume, Globalizing Liberation: How to Uproot the System and Build a Better World, gives us a fascinating glimpse into the political thinking of Van Jones. The piece is called "Behind Enemy Lines: Inside the World Economic Forum" and can be found on pages 87-96 of Globalizing Liberation.

So who did he see at this meeting of the ruling class?
His supporters. Liberals. George Soros, Bill Gates, Dr. Ruth, Bono etc...etc...
The longer this administration puts off the inevitable, the bigger the hit they take on the Jones issue.
The scary part for me is ...just who selected him for the award...and WHY.....
Perhaps she's just too busy keeping tabs on ex-military and pro-lifers.
Or maybe it's just that brutha Van is down wif da struggle agin'st da man, gnomesayin n'shit, and gets a free pass.
I went to amazon to see if they carry the booklet...and it was stunning the books that came up. We are way behind the ball, people!!
Why is that no surprise?
Its an interesting essay, worth a moment.
He doesn’t like what he calls the economic royalists, the globalists, but he also doesn’t seem to think about who precisely it is that funds his activities and why they decided to give him an award. And now he and his boss are at the helm of the US government.
He thinks “social justice” will reduce the power of the globalists, but in actual fact he is engaged in battering down the only barriers to complete globalism.
He also, like most leftists, hasn’t confronted the fact that he knows absolutely nothing about economics, nothing about business, nothing about international commerce. He has never built anything, never produced anything of value, never built a company, never made a payroll, never built a house or a car or turned iron into steel. But he is very sure that he should be in charge of the people who do.
He toils not, neither does he sew, but he’s absolutely sure that the people who do those things are in desperate need of his wisdom. The world would run so much better if the people who don’t know how to do anything at all were in charge of it.
Its a winning strategy, actually, because voters who don’t understand how things work can sometimes be pulled together into a majority, and thats when you start to win elections. And if you can successfully blame someone else, anyone, for the economic disaster that is coming as sure as there is a tomorrow, you’ll keep right on winning elections.
Check out the Unabomber's Manifesto. It has clues of where the environmentalists whackos want to take us. Too bad the wrong one is in a maximum federal prison.
Someone printed the Unabomber’s Manifesto and mainstream Dem rhetoric side by side and the game was to guess which was Unabomber and which was mainstream. There was no difference. They were indistinguishable.
I think that was Rush, and he compared the writings of Algore and the Unibomber.
naaahh.....Van needs to go play in the fountain...
for a grad of Yale Law this guy may be able to tell a story but he cannot write.
e.g.,”undemocratic” preferred usage is “nondemocratic”
i stand here to be corrected by my peers.
