Saudi Prince Blasts U.S.: You Can't Live Without Our Oil(Oh no? Why doesn't US just take it?)

The United States has no alternative to oil to meet its massive energy needs and should recognize its energy interdependence with the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's Prince Turki al-Faisal wrote in an article on Friday.

U.S. President Barack Obama has been pushing to boost green energy which cuts emissions of heat-trapping gases and reduces the use of fossil fuels. In his election campaign, Obama raised some potentially disturbing issues for the Saudis, such as ending dependence on Middle Eastern oil.

In the article translated into Italian and published by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, Turki said energy independence was an unrealistic, groundless and harmful concept which was likely to re-emerge once economic recovery pushed oil prices up.

"There is no technology on the horizon which can replace oil to satisfy colossal needs of U.S. industry, transport and armed forces. Any future scenario will be characterized by mix of renewable and non-renewable energies whether you like it or not," Turki said.

His criticism comes as the U.S. Senate is working on a wide-ranging energy and environmental bill aimed to put limits on the amount of greenhouse gases that big industries are allowed to emit.

Turki, a former Saudi intelligence chief and envoy to Washington and London, said the United States, the world's biggest energy consumer, should put aside the rhetoric of energy independence and instead recognize interdependence of energy producers and consumers.

"Whether you like it or not, the destinies of the United States and Saudi Arabia are linked and will remain (linked) for decades," he said.

The United States is the biggest trading partner for the world's biggest oil exporter.

It would appear that this raghead hasn’t learned.

Do not ever bet against the American patriots, you will lose.

“There will come a point in time when the sheepherders of the world will find out who truly holds the power.”

That happened in 149 BC, when Rome finally tired of the Carthaginians playing with the price of grain.

Then: Carthago Delenda Est.

Now: Islam Delenda Est.

Why? Because Islam gives us no choice.

The Prince is right. I remember I once got suspended here for suggesting that one day in the future it would be cheaper to wipe out Saudi Arabia and take their oil than to buy it. Apparently, being right on an issue is ok, but being right too early is a crime.

The Muslim world would gain a whole new respect for us if we started doing to them what they regularly do to others.

What the prince says is essentially true. The U.S. does need Saudi oil...AND if necessary it would take the U.S. Marines about 5 hours to take over the Saudi oil fields, if not the whole stupid Saudi country.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, raghead!!

He is right. We are dependent upon fossil fuels and that won't change for decades.

As far as who holds the power, on September 20, the People's Republic of China (aka Communist China) will be raising its flag on the South lawn of the WH to celebrate its 60th birthday as a nation former under the leadership of Chairman Mao.

He who pays the piper, calls the tune. Get used to it as the US, the world's largest debtor nation, slowly succumbs to an ocean of debt and the welfare state.

(Oh no? Why doesn't US just take it?)

Because it's not ours?

I'm sorry, but taking something by force is stealing, and I can't believe the amount of people advocating such a thing. It's forbidden by the Law of Nations and our Constitution.

Leave them to eat their oil if it's so precious to them, and develop what we have in our own backyard. It's not a difficult concept, people.

We could easily live without Saudi oil if we would drill for our own.

Ha! “Your oil”? What do you mean “your oil” hand wiper? “Your oil” was under the ground when WE found it! “Your oil” was under the ground when WE developed the technology that made it valuable. “Your oil” was under your camels’ toes when WE showed up to pry it out of your worthless sand. “Your oil” was “your oil” after all, when we decided to let you keep it and sell it to us for a fair price. “Your oil” was still “your oil” when we decided to keep Hitler from killing you all and taking it from you!

If I were you I would keep a close eye on “your oil”.

We can’t invade a sovereign nation and steal their resources, that would make us one of the bad guys, If I remember, the first gulf war was to put down a leader that tried to do just such a thing.

Second, the Saudi oil fields are wired with explosives to destroy the infrastructure to disuade their neighbors from trying to muscle in on their action.

Third, although we have the greatest military on the planet, we are not able to fight the entire world on foreign soil and believe me, we would be fighting the entire world if we made such a move.

I am not a greenie but I am for all technologies that decrease our dependence on imported oil.

Sorry, but that raghead is right. We now have a government that is against all forms of domestic oil drilling. We have no choice but to finance anti-USA interests abroad by buying foreign oil.
