Here are more photos from Tegucigalpa. To review:

Organizers called it "the Great March of Patriotism and Courage," Demonstrators sought to lend support the government of president Roberto Micheletti Baín and rejecting the return of Manuel Zelaya Rosales, the deposed president. Dozens of men and women marched in a line stretching several kilometers calling for respect of democracy and peace (more)

"If only we had an American president."

And if only we had American journalists who would report the facts.

"the Great March of Patriotism and Courage,"

Wow! I'm impress by the little mouse that roared! Hopefully, we can learn from them how to stand up for ourselves against the tyranny of the Federal government...

This is one of my favorite pictures from a Honduran protest. Photobucket 'Honduras is an example for the world. We don't have oil or dollars, but we have balls.

That’s good news.

But can you believe the way this is phrased?

“””...the regime currently usurping power in that country.”””

It’s just surreal.

This is my first post in this forum. I'm Honduran and I live in Honduras. And Iḿ very proud if it. I don't know if you know what really happened, so I'm going to tell you a part of the story most of you probably don't know. When Mel ZeLAIR was elected President, he was a rich landowner. His father was a right wing conservative, who was convicted in the 70's along with some army radicals for killing about 15 leftists in one of his ranches. You can see this story here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Horcones_massacre So the world has to know that Hondurans NEVER voted for a communist president. But once in office ZeLAIR made sudden and totally unexpected change and became a communist. In fact I don't really think he is a communist, I'm sure he was simply bought by Chavez's oil and drug money. Honduras had become a country run by narcs during ZeLAIR's presidency. Almost every day we had Venezuelan planes carrying drugs to the US crashing in Honduras. I'm sure the DEA is aware of this. But when ZeLAIR wanted to follow Chavez's steps to remain as President forever, our institutions did what they were supposed to do, and the Attorney General, the Supreme Court and Congress ordered our Army to remove him from office. Our real mistake was taking him to Costa Rica, he should have been killed instead. Anyway, I'm really sad that Obama's administration has taken Chavez's side on this. Honduras has ALWAYS been a loyal friend of the US. During the Cold War in the 80's we hosted the US Army and the Contras who fought against the communist sandinistas in Nicaragua and against the guerrilla in El Salvador. Many Hondurans were sacrificed fighting the cold war. More recently we've sent our modest troops to the Gulf War, supporting the war against terrorism. And now the US government takes sides with Chavez and wants us to fall to a communist regime? I just don't get it. If Obama is not going to help us, maybe that's OK. But helping Chavez by going against a loyal friend is just totally wrong. I feel the US will gradually lose it's friends if you people let Obama continue with this. Sorry for the long post.

I've sent congratulatory email messages to the Honduran government, and enjoy this opportunity to tell you that I'm proud of the Hondurans for standing against the tyranny of communist thugs.

Many other American's have done as much and more. We may be a kind of minority at the moment in this nation, but a lot of people in the US are just now waking up and finding out what kind of monster they have elected.

We would like to do something similar here - ship this guy to Chavez - permanently. Alas, our laws don't allow that, but one famous American once said something like, "We've just begun to fight" - and I think freedom will once again trump tyranny.

I am sorry, but I wanted to read your post and the lack of paragraphs was killing my old eyes!

I put some in so I could read it better. We are on the side of Hondurans. The US government is full of communist right now and has been for some time. Hopefully we will vote them all out soon.

Hey, thanks for that info. I kind of had that picture in my mind and from the reports from Mary Anastasia O’Grady (WSJ) and IBD what I’ve been reading in the Honduras press. Of course I didn’t know that family history tidbit. His father sounds like a real a—hole. Keep in touch, my e-mail is on my website: citizen5408.com. Greg

May I add your name to my Honduras ping list? A ping list alerts you when I see or post a thread related to Honduras. You know you have been pinged when the “new posts to you” shows at the top.

Thanks for the report and most of all thank your country for standing firm for constitutional government.
