I disagree. I think anyone who has the presidents ear and can influence, as Jones obviously has, needs to be feared and sent packing.

I'd really like Van Jones to stay..till the 2010 elections at least.
He'd make an excellent rallying point to get the conservative base out to come vote in force, which will help hand the Dems one of their biggest defeats ever. In the maentime, Van Jones could be helping drive Obumer's nubers down even further. Please, please let him stay.
