Rangel continues to fight ethics probe
Thursday, September 03, 2009 | 4:40 PM

NEW YORK -- The most senior congressman in New York, is in serious political trouble.

There are more calls for the resignation of Charlie Rangel as Chairman of the House Ways and Means committee after the democrat from Harlem failed to declare hundreds of thousands in income and net worth. The Washington Post calls his latest scandal "a treasure trove of outrage", the paper Thursday writes he needs to "step aside as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee."

"The ethics committee is going to have to go into overdrive and render some kind of verdict here, the evidence is overwhelming," said Jonathan Capehart, the columnist who wrote the article.

**SNIP**

A spokesman for Rangel said let the ethics committee complete its work. There's been no accusation against Congressman Rangel in any court or by a vote of Congress.

But Rangel seems to be getting irritated by all the news. Last week he dared reporters ask him something intelligent that's not about the ethics review.

I, for one, want our Overlords to be taxcheats and liars.
Why should the laws and taxes for little people
apply to them?

One by one they all need to be brought to justice, what a shame that this country is now controlled by these criminals!

Mr. Rangel is a Liberal Democrat and Liberal Democrats don’t have to resign for any reason. He is brilliant, he is superior, he is above the rest of humanity and worthy of ruling all of humanity.

So suck it up, don’t hold your breath waiting for any resignations.

IMHO

The heck with 'serious political trouble'. What about serious legal trouble?
How come this law-breaker isn't in jail? You or I would be in jail in a heart-beat. The fact that this guy leads a committee in Congress that is intended to oversee the tax code makes his crime more egregious.
We definitely have a different set of laws for the 'ruling class' and the commoners...

(Tax-cheat Charlie in serious political trouble)

It seems as though I've been seeing that my whole adult life, and yet he's still there. Sometimes I think a video tape of bestiality or baby molesting wouldn't be enough to remove a corrupt politician. Sometimes I think acting in a home made snuff film, with young virgins being dismembered, wouldn't be enough.

:o(

Take out ‘Rangel’ to the above sentence and add any name of the a current sitting congressman and insert it....this is the mantra of the left.

Bawney Fwank, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi anyone?

‘How come this law-breaker isn’t in jail? ‘

2 reasons.

(1) He has a (D) after his name
(2) The morons ‘investigating’ him also have a (D) after their names

Charlie Rangel is not in political trouble unless the ethics committee throws him out of the House.

The people who voted for him are from Harlem, they could care less if Charlie puts one over on the government, in fact they would laugh and say how great it was. It’s not like Charlie was a tax cheat in flyover country.
Go to Harlem and interview them there. IF and I mean IF they know of the Rangel situtation they will make excuses for him or laugh about it happening.

Rangel is safe because the Dems won’t throw him overboard and neither will his Harlem voters.

Don’t worry, Charlie, if you lose your job in Congress, the Obomba Administration will find a position for you as czar of something or other. Someone as crooked and slimy as you are will be right at home in the Obomba White House.

Last fall, Pelosi said the investigation would be over sometime after the first of the year. I guess that we have four months yet to wait. Also I heard that Rangel, like Bob Wexler (D-FL), has claimed D.C. as his primary residence to get the homestead exemption. CORRUPTION.
