Man up Schwarzenegger: use the 10th amendment to save the San Joaquin farmers
The Collins Report ^ | August 3, 2009 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Posted on 09/03/2009 6:05:10 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

The agony of the San Joaquin Valley farmers continues.

They’re losing their homes and life savings because the lunatics in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a heartless judge care more about a fish than human beings. The EPA has dammed off 90% of the Valley’s water supply because they want to protect the Delta Smelt.

The Obama Administration simply doesn’t give a damn that they are killing these people.

This can end today if California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger stops wimping out, man’s up and acts decisively.

If Schwarzenegger shows the fighting spirit that made him a champion body builder he can actually be the kind of hero he played in the movies. As a Governor he has to step up and claim control of the situation under the Tenth Amendment.

Power of the Tenth Amendment

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

These 28 words must be used to save the lives and farms of hard working Americans. Our Founding Father’s gave us this power specifically to protect us from Obama-like governments. Using them ends the agony today.

Schwarzenegger can use the 10th Amendment to tell the EPA to get lost

Spending State funds to feed people who should be feeding the world is crazy and un-American. This must stop.

If Schwarzenegger takes this step and personally opens the dam that’s killing the Californians he is constitutionally sworn to protect, he’ll be fulfilling his oath of office.

He’ll also lead the fight against the tyranny of unelected bureaucrats bent on destroying our lives every day.

Man up Arnold: use the Tenth Amendment as the sword against oppression it was written to be. Ask yourself: “What would Conan do?”

These are certainly the times that try men's souls. Someone will stand up and fight back with the Tenth Amendment and this is a perfect fit. The harm the EPA and judge are doing could not be clearer and the benefit of Scharzenegger stepping in with it could not be clearer. This is effort meets opporunity = success.

Schwarzenegger is a girly man. A human flabalanche these days. It would be great if he defied the Feds and dared them to send in troops to strangle these farmers for a minnow

Unfortunately the entrenched Socialists of the California Legislature have Schwarzenkennedy corraled. He couldn’t even dream of invoking 10th amendment right at this time with all the ties to Federal benevolence forced upon Californians today at the hands of the California Socialist Legislature that refuses to participate in, or allow quality fiscal management

Farmers need to save themselves. In the old days they would bust the dams open.

Does anyone know where I can find a map or a list of the states and How much money they send to Washington vs How much they get back from Washington?

I know some states are net donators and some states are net receivers. All the states that give more than their fair share should think about the 10th Amendment.

Farmers? Who needs farmers? All you do is go to the grocery store and you can buy all you want. /s (I have to add that because there are actually people that believe that)

The Green (new Red) intrusion into our American way of live via the government is just another way to take apart our prosperous and free market system in America.

The EPA/EPD have become an anti-free market, anti-agricultural-anti property owners RIGHTS gestapo.
This is going on every day all across America
(just ask property owners, builders and developers)

Americans barely challenge it. Every small town, city, county, and state government is heavily controlled by these agencies with no way to push back.
For some cities it’s “No Compliance?-No Funding”-—there’s a word for that, isn’t there?

Putting farmers out of business would mean food shortages which leads to crisis which is want Big Government wants.

What can Americans do to help the farmers?

Schwarenegger “man up”?

Is there an icon that stands in for the “whip cracking” sound?

Two words: Interstate Commerce.

As Clarence Thomas has pointed out, the feds can use interstate commerce as an excuse to do just about anything.

Arnold is ready and willing to man up. But he has to get permission from Maria first.
