Humans Killed Because of Genetic Defects (See Breibart URL)
Vanity ^ | Sept 2, 2009 | Vanity

Can't cited Briebart material, but a new technique needs commenting upon. Looks like fertilized eggs discard 23 Chromasomes and it looks like this is the "Technique" for which embroyos are to be destroyed.

Please look at this article and check if this is so.

The issue (from the Article): Human cells have 46 chromosomes, with 23 inherited from each parent. Before an egg is fertilised, it ejects half of its full set of chromosomes to make room for the 23 coming from the sperm. These discarded chromosomes, held in a structure called the "polar body," are a mirror image of those remaining in the egg. Array CGH examines this cast-off genetic material. If there are too few or too many chromosomes, doctors know that the egg is not suitable for use.

The eggs are not fertilized. By no definition are they “humans”.

This is called biology. Part of the problem with folks who are fanatical about abortion is that too often they jump at shadows and whisps of nothing

I think the following snippet deserves close attention:
“...Before an egg is fertilised...”

When the egg expels the 23 Chromsomes it is not "Fertilized"??

No, it is obvious that the sperm has entered the egg and the fertilization process begun.

Human life begins at Conception. Just try to refute it.

Looks like a smoke screen to me. The egg won't expel the 23 chromasomes without the sperm. They are playing semantic games.

Read again. It clearly says, “Before the egg is fertilized”

Write this 50 times:

“Before an egg is fertilised, it ejects half of its full set of chromosomes to make room for the 23 coming from the sperm.”

Get back to me when you are done.

Shifting the topic slightly:

Theory #1: Homosexuality is caused by Genetics.
Question: Is it OK to abort fetuses based on an effort to avoid bringing homosexuals into the world? What would Liberals think?

Theory #2: Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice.
Question: Why should we protect and affirm a simple lifestyle choice? Can't we also choose to be against that choice? Where's the tolerance for our view?

Look up meiosis and mitosis. Once the concepts are clear, read steps leading up to the creation of a human ovum. The egg has 23 chromosomes prior to fertilization.

I suppose, they could fertilize all of the eggs prior to examination but I don’t see the point. It would make more sense to examine the eggs prior to fertilization to remove the ethical issues and to remove time constraints. Once fertilized, the chromosomes start to unwind and the cell begins to change, withing hours, you no longer have an ovum to examine.

If they say prior to fertilization, there is no reason to assume otherwise.

We weren’t having a discussion. I know better than to attempt to use reason or logic on another post-election sign-up whose handle pays homage to the Red Army and one of the greatest mass murderers in human history.

Once fertilized, the chromosomes start to unwind and the cell begins to change

Again, what caused the egg to discharge the 23 chromosomes? What is the cause??

So, according to your definition, fertilization occurs just before the chromosomes start to unwind.

Therefore the question is how does the person doing the procedure know that fertilization has NOT occurred?? What do they see, that shows it has not occurred?

Actually my handle pays homage to my father’s people. The Navajo call their travel the long march as well as the long walk.

In your quickness to make a judgement you have guessed incorrectly. I am a conservative through and through. Doesn’t matter whether you believe it.

And for someone not engaged in a discussion you are spending a lot of time typing
