David Weigel, a reporter for the liberal Washington Independent news site, wrote an article this morning with the laughable claim that liberal sites like the Daily Kos do not trade in conspiracy theories.
Weigel wrote about Joseph Farah responding to a call from a conservative blog for conservatives to boycott World Net Daily.
Weigel, who is a decent reporter when he doesn't let his inner moonbat write his articles, served up this whopper to conclude his piece:
Conservatives differ from liberals* in that their Web 1.0 sites like WND and FreeRepublic survived and kept their readers in the George W. Bush era, whereas liberals mostly shop at interactive blogs like Daily Kos and news sites like the Huffington Post. The conspiracist on the right has had stomping grounds at FreeRepublic and WND, while the radical on the far left is banned from sites like Daily Kos if he/she posts a conspiracy theory.
Let's see for starters, Bush stole the election, Bush lied soldiers died, Bush wore an earpiece in the Kerry debate, and the big Kos generated conspiracy theory: Sarah Palin is not Trig's mother.
Note to David Weigel, you're officially a joke as a reporter. Too bad, you had promise.
Let alone all the liberal troothers.
Yep and we all know that fire can’t melt steel!
Obviously someone that never ready the DUmmie FUnnies!

You know, I’ve been in IT most of my adult life, and if I hear Web 1.0 or Web 2.0 one more time, I will have to summon all my will to keep my head from exploding.
It is a ridiculous label and buzzword. There is no good definition for it, and it is used to hawk nearly worthless websites, and to slam perfectly good web sites that perform as needed.
well, look at it from their perspective ... all those are “facts” :)
Amen to that.
That comment does not even make sense. Bush and his politics are never mentioned and don't have a lot of support here, outside of the war on terror and tax cuts. If anything, FreeRepublic seems leaping into the Palin era.
9-11 was an inside job

kristinn, you PWNED them in one sentence. That's not fair.
Sure is going to be empty over there when they clean house. ****crickets****
David Weigel may claim to be a reporter but he’s not, he is just more of the propaganda front for the progressives.
Just go to any right leaning website which has run birth certificate stories and search, He shows up on all of them with his “facts”. He is on someones payroll but its not for news stories.
I think “KOS bans conspircy theories” is a conspiracy theory.
What an idiot.
Never give them suckers an even break!
“the radical on the far left is banned from sites like Daily Kos if he/she posts a conspiracy theory.”
Well, that’s because a ‘progressive’ analysis of the world yields hard facts about the essentially demonic nature of capitalism, christianity, and western civilization generally.
These are not conspiracy theories, this is science, you bourgeois dupes, science!
Sheesh! If only you had taken some sociology, philosophy, and political science courses at college, you would have known that! AN English course, even!
This entire episode just proves that right-wingers are too stupid to grasp how the world really works.
