God, family and job (Palin)

A recent Sunday School lesson at our church pointed out that when making statements and plans for the future we should always say we will do this “if it is God’s will.” This brings to mind how much flack vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin took by members of the liberal media when she used the words “if it is God’s will” during a speech about a year ago.

When John McCain announced that Ms. Palin was his running mate not many knew who she was. As time passed we learned some things about her. She was the governor of Alaska that spoke entire sentences without a teleprompter and hunted moose in her state. She was loved by her people and had an 80% approval rating although some politicians were not that fond of her.

Later we learned that Sarah had a Down Syndrome child that could have been aborted but that did not fit into her religious beliefs. We also were told about her 17-year-old daughter’s pregnancy and the fact that Ms. Palin would not approve of her having an abortion. Then David Letterman disgraced himself on national television concerning the subject.

As the political race progressed the media attempted to make Sarah look foolish but it didn’t work. As her popularity grew things really started to get ugly with the media turning on her in a vicious way.

They made fun of her family and her young child. Rumors started that her “special needs” child was really her daughter’s.

After the election had come and gone with McCain and Palin on the losing end, Sarah went home to Alaska to continue her life. However, her own party seemed to turn against her. There were rumors about her expensive wardrobe, her spending and other nitpicking issues but Sarah fought back.

It is disgusting how the GOP left Gov. Palin out to die. The national party organizations could have easily picked up the tab for her legal bills and could have done something, anything, to fight the numerous frivolous ethics complaints filed against Gov. Palin.

But what did the GOP choose to do? Nothing.

Whatever happened to President Reagan's 11th commandment?

They’re politicians - insiders - she’s not, she’s one of us. She’s the kind of folk the Founders (gender considered) intended represent us.

Most all politicians are scum. We need statesmen and stateswomen.

LOL In the end it may be better that she lost as V.P. last year so that she can win as President in 2012!

The AssClown G.O.P.? The ones who stabbed Palin in the back and left her out in the battlefield to bleed to death?

That AssClown G.O.P.? They are swine.

Not one thin dime.

Except to SarahPAC, of course.

Best,

Chris
