A palate cleanser via Progress Illinois, which is shocked, shocked to find that Ted Kennedy is still loathed by conservatives in death — quite in contrast to how George W. Bush would be treated if, say, a Republican congressman invoked his name posthumously while addressing a Democratic audience. Consider this further evidence, though, in case any was indeed that slapping the Ted Kennedy seal of approval on a government program isn’t much of a selling point to anyone to the right of MoveOn.org. Which is too bad for The One, really, considering how his own vaunted salesman skills have deserted him lately.
Fun fact about Jan Schakowsky, seen here stupidly invoking the hero of Chappaquiddick in defense of her cause before a crowd with right-wingers in it: To this day, no one has been as blunt about the public option serving as a trojan horse for single-payer as she has.

At the TH here in NY29, the day of, or after Tedholes death, Eric “I-will-adamantly-vote-against-the-interests-of-my-district” Massa, the local demhole rep, asked for 10 seconds of silence for Kennedy(D-Moscow). It was greeted with jeers and shouts of “WHAT ABOUT MARY JO!?” from at least 1/4, if not 1/3, of the crowd of 925 in the auditorium.
I remember the story Tammmy Bruce tells about discovering that Reagan had Alzheimers disease. She said she cried because she realized how disgusting her friends were when they were inviting her to a Reagan has Alzheimers party.

the Campaign Financing Reform law;
the Comprehensive Selective Service Reform Act;
the Eighteen-Year-Old Vote law;
the Occupational Safety and Health Act;
the War on Cancer bills;
the recodification of federal criminal laws;
the Bilingual Education Act;
the Fair Housing Acts;
the Age Discrimination Act;
the Airline and Trucking Deregulation bills;
the Job Training Partnership Act;
the South African sanctions;
the Grove City Civil Rights Restoration Act.
Kennedy was almost in a class by himself when it came to destroying our borders, culture, and quality of life in the USA. He died knowing Obama would continue his plundering.
Ted Kennedy pushed SEVEN amnesties into law. None was followed by a reduction in illegal immigration.
1. In 1986, Ted Kennedy’s blanket amnesty for 2.7 million illegal aliens promised a lot more enforcement but did not set any requirements for actual reductions in illegal immigration.
2. In 1994, Ted Kennedy’s Section 245(i) Amnesty gave legal residence and jobs to 578,000 illegal aliens. It was a temporary rolling amnesty primarily for extended family members of immigrants who instead of waiting in line, come on to the country illegally.
3. In 1997, Ted Kennedy’s extension of the Section 245(i) rolling amnesty was followed by an increasing flow of illegal immigration.
4. In 1997, Ted Kennedy also won an amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America. Illegal immigration sped up some more.
5. In 1998, Ted Kennedy won an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.
6. In 2000, Ted Kennedy got the so-called Late Amnesty, legalizing another 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed that they missed out on Kennedy’s 1986 amnesty.
7. In 2000, Ted Kennedy also won the LIFE Act Amnesty for an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. It was another reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty...an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. Illegal immigration accelerated.
