As some of the most prominent Republican women across the country gather next week in Orlando, arguably the most well-known of them will not be in attendance.
Despite an invitation to speak at the conference, Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate, and until recently Alaska governor, decided not come to the National Federation of Republican Women's 35th Convention, according to the organization.
An estimated 1,200 Republican women leaders will attend the three day conference, and some of those are want Palin to reconsider.
"It is disappointing," says Barbara Davis, who heads the Melbourne, Fla. chapter." We were hoping that she would come.It would have benefited her to attend."

Also look at the dates they are having this convention, its during the same time as the Washington DC march, why the hell would they have a convention during the march on washington
Answer: Only when the invitation is sent to Sarah.
Very rude and self-serving of this group to make news on the back of Sarah.
Obama is not attending my birthday party, he snubbed me!!
I think the republicans will give her a hard time anyway...after all she is not an elite.
She probably snubs hundreds of invitations every week. So many invitations, so little time. ;-)
Quit nagging!
Hong Kong is Sept 21-25
Wash, DC Tea Party Sept 12 (hmmmmmm!)
Sarah is 40 something and probably wouldn’t fit in with the elderly Republican women
>They could give a crap about her. All they want is her name there to draw money for Crist and the other rinos
BINGO!
The status quo hate her because she is a threat to them. Doesn’t matter what party they are with.
The GOP has been neutered.
What are the political facts of life here? They invited her. She declined.
The bad press she has gotten has come from parties that claimed she had accepted invitations then reneged. To my knowledge that isn’t the case here? It’s just a few people upset she didn’t choose their event among the thousand she went through. Tough for them but nothing out of the ordinary.
Has she accepted any in the last month?
er... I noticed something, it doesn’t actually use the word snub in the article, just the headline. And the author and ppl who come up with the headline usually not the same person
She has received thousands of speaking invites, and has given how many speeches lately?
“Snub” is truly dishonest.
She can’t accept every invitation. So quit whining, ladies.
They aren’t the first ones turned down and won’t be last. I think she’s pretty busy, you know with house keeping, child rearing, helping the ghost writer, etc. Can’t be running all over creation just to speak for a few minutes, don’tcha know.
Like Hell it can't.
Well, I have to get these ideas somewhere! You don't think I think them all up myself, do you?
P.S. Thanks! *\;-)
Not sure. I don’t follow her much. She ain’t my candidate of choice.
Goodness Sarah is doing what Sarah wants to do and not what everyone else wants her to do. Too bad folks. From what I can tell, the Republicans only know how to screw things up. Hear this people, Sarah is her own person, get over it. Watch out boys and ladies, here she comes:

Citizen Palin will introduce herself as a Conservative.
Her best sell will be to espouse conservative values and solutions to the political mess in which we find ourselves.
She should encourage and energize conservatives while speaking common sense truth to all that will listen.
If that later means the republicans see her as the one they want to lead them, then she can insist she will lead with her conservative values intact.
