Huh? Sanford is an idiot. He should have known he would get caught. What a fool. He should resign and so should McCain. The country and our liberty hang in the balance and this guy just wants to get laid and embarras Conservatives. Get lost Sanford.

Are you nuts? Perhaps you need to take a hike on the Appalachian Trail and clear your thought process.

I hope this is in jest, because, though Mark Sanford has ruined his political career, I would NEVER advocate him abandoning his wedding vows, committment means more than some misguided effort to embarass a failing politician. If his wife will have him back, I would, as am sure God, would want them to remain married!

You forgot some details. What if she doesn’t want to move to the States? Why would she move into what she knows would be a media frenzy? What if she thinks of him as a good lay and not a “soul mate”?

This is the kind of “romantic” crap that ruins lives. And he didn’t betray just his wife, he betrayed his children. He is not a man of integrity or honor.

And I'd suggest that you show the world your entire love, and your caring, as well as your humor, and marry her on the Appalachian Trail. Do so, and you will go a long way to regain the acceptance of much of the public. Yeah. Let's laugh at a commitment made before men and God.
BlueStateBlues, do you understand the damage Sanford has caused by spitting on the covenant relationship that he entered into with his wife? Do you understand that he put "self" above any commitment that he made to others? Marriage is not a joke. Nor is it something to be thrown away because your hormones are in an uproar.

Go stick it up your butt.
You don’t even have the courage to name what state you’re from. Coward.
The citizens of South Carolina will sort this out. Go crawl back in your rathole.
