~ EXCERPT ~

~ snip ~

President Barack Obama's job approval rating is down to 42%, with a decline in approval from Democrats the leading factor.

The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.

~snip~

In the time between the two aforementioned polls, Zogby conducted a similar interactive survey from Aug. 18-20. That poll found 45% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance and 51% disapproving. So Obama is up very slightly overall from 10 days earlier.

The Aug. 28-31 poll also found that:

Look every president has his special sponsors. I’m not talking about Ayers or that crowd. But rather they are the people that bet on him when he was nobody—although one could argue that’s still the case. Call me paranoid or a tin hat conspiracy theorist, but I believe that there is a shadow group, perhaps loosely aligned that chooses the candidates that will best further their interests. They groom these people for a generation, look at the Clintons. Then if and when the moment is right, they put these dark horses out there and see if the public bites. In the Bamster’s case, I fully believe that this was not supposed to be the annointed one’s time. But rather through unforeseen manipulation in the early primaries, he was forced upon them and they all jumped on his band wagon, once it was recognized the Hillary could not win the nomination. Based on the outcome of the general, she almost certainly would have beaten McLaim. But if you can’t get the nomination, you go with the next best candidate and do your damnedest to get him elected, voila President Bamster.

But now as this group of elitists, whatever their true goals—we can only speculate, is stuck with a guy that has all of the qualities of a dog, except loyalty. His need for power and acceptance by the masses is so great, that he will throw anyone under the bus. Look, alot of his money had to come from Vegas, who else is in a position to throw around hundreds of millions like its tip money? What does he do once he’s in power, opens his mouth and 350 trade shows cancel out of Vegas, thus exacerbating the depression there.

I have to go back to Elliott Spitzer. He was a similar personality type, but he was even more delusional. At the time several associates of mine were freaked out about him ascending to governor after his many blatant, illegal, out of control, abuses of power. I said then, “He will never serve out his term. He’s finished within 18 months. I don’t know how it will happen and I don’t really care. He can’t be taken out by the legal system in this state, it can only be done by the shadow judicial system, be it a star chamber set up or something less formal.” Voila, he’s gone. Did anyone ever really wonder about how he got set up. It wasn’t an accident. And this is the reason he was never prosecuted. No one could afford to have the truth revealed about the setup. So the deal is cut and he’s spared criminal prosecution in exchange for leaving somewhat quietly.

We are witnessing the exact same scenario here. I have no idea how or when this is going down, I just know the pattern. Go back to Nixon and trace the events that led to his departure. This will occur in a similar way, in the beginning a few will be calling for his departure, but just like Nixon, it will catch fire. And believe me, his hit on the CIA was a preemptive strike that will have the opposite effect of the intended result.

The pursuit of power by unstable personality types will always end this way in a democracy. It can’t be any other way. A democracy cannot tolerate a Nero or a Tiberius. But the actual machinery that exists within the constitutional framework is ineffective to that purpose. But the need still exists and it must be satisfied by some means.

I have said 18 months from inauguration, however it might be sooner. Depends on how desperate the situation gets and how endangered the sponsors perceive themselves to be. But make no mistake, these are very dangerous powerful people that are not used to getting pushed around or discarded like squeezed grapefruit. When they believe they have been conned or hoodwinked they become extremely dangerous to one’s political future. They are out there plotting as we speak and their will will most certainly be done.

Actually he was down to 47 a few times before he rose back up to 48, look at the graph again.

Regardless, Pres. Bush didn't fall under 50% approval until more than three years into his first term.

52% of all likely voters are proud to have Obama as President

Certainly there is some third world crap hole that is looking for a dictator... We could let NO-POTUS go for the low, low price of 2 chickens and a goat.

And the 52% who are *proud* of this pretender-commie-in-chief can go too! Hopefully, the door will hit them HARD on the way out. Now, that would be a nice change!

I disagree. What this whole episode has done to this country is to turn off the cruise control hooked to the general public’s will to engage in critical thinking.

As long as the carnival ride was chugging along all nice and smoothly, all they cared about was how much bigger next weeks pay check was going to be in addition to who was the next to fall off the island.

The interesting thing is the current downslope comes at the heels of the CIA special prosecutor and the week long Beck focus on pulling back the curtain.

Every time O talks his approval rating drops. If he had a brain, he’d shut up for a month or so.

Sadly, you’ve fallen for the RINO and demrat koolaid that Palin is too dumb to be president.

Her blog comment about the Obamacare “death panal” singlehandedly derailed that bill. It will not pass as it is now written.

There is no other genuine conservative—let alone Pubbie—politician that said anything as effective to kill Obamacare. She distilled the essense of socialized health care in a few sentences and clubbed it to death. Yep, she’s dumb alright.
