~ EXCERPT ~

~ snip ~

President Barack Obama's job approval rating is down to 42%, with a decline in approval from Democrats the leading factor.

The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.

~snip~

In the time between the two aforementioned polls, Zogby conducted a similar interactive survey from Aug. 18-20. That poll found 45% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance and 51% disapproving. So Obama is up very slightly overall from 10 days earlier.

The Aug. 28-31 poll also found that:

When we're in DC on 9/12, let's all visit the White House and boo. Maybe that will put him over the edge.

the poll says he’s only at 75-21 among blacks.

That's because he hasn't come through with the FREEBIES

"He’s so aloof, he may not be able to handle this kind of rejection...."

It's a valid concern, but then again lots of us were fearful of his psychological background way back in the primaries. Fact is, he's had a lifetime of rejection by key formative influences. He was abandoned by his alleged biological father (on whom, tellingly, he centered the first of his autobiographies... and how many folks with a thin a resume as his have two autobiographies before the age of 50?), then by his adoptive father, then by his mother when she dumped him on his grandparents, who in turn largely left him to moulder in the embrace of a communist pedophile (who may have been, quite plausibly, his actual biological father), about whom he wrote some highly creepy poetry.

As Rush says, what could go wrong?

Against that background, it's no small wonder that the one area where he has absolutely ensured against rejection is in the field of politics. There, his record in Chicago clear through his Senate campaign was one of ice-cold, iron-fisted nullification of his opponents, including former allies and mentors. Loyalty appears not to be in his vocabulary. Even during last year's election we saw several occasions when he tossed allies and even family under the bus in his relentless pursuit of victory... and, given all the above, very likely, some sort of twisted validation.

But what could go wrong?

“What kind of a question is “are you proud” supposed to be?
I would be very curious to know if that question was EVER asked on any Presidential approval poll.”

No, it didn’t have to be asked while GWB was President, because the media kept telling us that Americans and the World were not proud of GWB.

Now however since Obama is the first black man in office, the question has to be asked. So if you say yes you are not racist. If you say no, “By God, you must be a racist, because everyone who is not racist is so proud we finally got a black man in office. You racist!”

Congress will go down the toilet bowl into the sewer with Zero with a very very few exceptions. Dingy is TOAST and so is Boxer. Thank you God. Slimy Frank and Chuckie Schumer and Dodd are on the TOAST fast track list as are about 450 others. Soros must be exposed along with the other enemies of America. Clean sweep.

McLame needs to go to a rest home somewhere as well.

One wonders if some of this is tied to the monster deficit numbers.

“O” and company seem to just blow off the deficit as something the masses don’t understand or care about, especially when it is now headed for the double digit trillions and rising ($10.5 T, in actual projected numbers for 10 years, per the UK press).

I still see the Jim Jones culs like reverence for obama.

Cubicles adorned with partisan political imagry and statements. Hard to believe any GWBush imagry would have been allowed without challenge.

You may have a few open eyes, but the super vast majority are blind deveotees to obama at any cost. They are just asking to play backup for Nero fiddling as rome burns.

Not only that and McCain’s a bit too old. Plus it didn’t help that he picked Sarah Palin as his VP candidate. Sure, she was able to get some buzz but she was just another Dan Quayle.

Its heading straight for the 30s!

Take away the "Zogby Sauce" and it probably is in the 30's. I don't know but 1 or 2 people that are fans of Obambi. Even my friends that are in unions don't like him.

Here is a graph.

Bush didn't get down to 42 percent until well into 2005. Obama has gotten there in eight months.

He may not be able to handle finishing his term, at least in a substantive way. His MO is to dabble and then move on. He’s never been in anhthing for the long haul..
