You may remember the video of the police officer who tried to deny the man attending Moran's town hall meeting his right to carry his sign because he didn't like the picture on it. I wrote to the Fairfax County Police to complain about this and I received a reply today.
Here is the reply. My original message follows:
Wesley Cheeks is NOT a Fairfax County police officer, he is a security officer employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools. You may go to http://www.fcps.edu to contact the School's Department of Communication and Community Outreach concerning this matter. They may also be reached by phone at 571-423-1200.
Please accept my apologies for the impersonal reply; however I am trying to give the several hundred respondents the courtesy of a timely answer.

I was appalled at the YouTube video of Officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. as he discriminated against a citizen attending a town hall meeting with Rep. Moran on Aug. 25. Not only did this officer threaten to arrest this man on trumpted up charges, but he arbitrarily told this man he couldn't have possession of his sign because he didn't like the picture, yet he allowed others to carry their signs. Not only did this officer violate this man's first amendment rights, and violate his private property, this officer stated "It ain't (America) no more, okay"? Is this the official stance of the police department of Fairfax County, or is this a rogue officer? This reflects very poorly on you and your department. Just what did Officer Cheeks mean by his statement? I would like an answer to these questions, particularly what Officer Cheeks meant by saying 'it isn't America anymore'. I took the liberty to correct his grammar. That is appalling as well.
Wesley Cheeks, a rent a cop, should have known.
I think he actually said “ iT AIN’T no America NO MO.....”
FYI
Give ‘em (cops) a choice:
- PUBLIC Apology OR
- United States District Court Lawsuit
Rent-a-cop Wesley Cheeks who has no authority to arrest anyone despite what he said to that gentleman.
That was a great letter you sent! Great job fellow freeper, now onto the school.

Is this guy a relative of Carolyn Cheeks-Kilpatrick?
Please let us know when you get an apology from the school.........(wish I had a blue ‘emoticon’)
LOL! I thinks yo raait.
Methinks this officer is full of Bull!!!
May still be a commissioned officer, lots of campus police are.
As a uniformed rent a cop does he have the authority to arrest anyone at all?
Second question, what was the other man in the video saying about “the supreme court”. The U tube video cut him off before he finished.
He’s not a rent a cop. He is a public school employee.

It sounds like the set up for another beer party in back of the White Crib. Did the police “act stupidly”?
