Death, Republican Style
It's the GOP that's out to get Granny.

Newsweek = Newspeak.
It doesent need to end then, you POS leftist lying pile of excrement. Congress could extend it, you act like its an act of Mao.
This is weak, weak, weak, even for NewsWeak.
Sheesh....
Now that is a laugh
Dems want to kill gramma, grampa and baby too
Sour grapes from one of Zeke Emmanuel’s Chicago buttboys. Weiseberg knows Obama’s DeathCare scheme is over and the democrat deathcult is spitting mad.
You got to wonder how much Newsweek gets paid for these lies.
First, Grassley only proposed the reduction in the estate with a deadline because that’s the only way you’ll ever get Democrats to agree on tax reductions. Take the Dubya tax cuts. It’s a lot easier to just let those tax cuts expires at the end of their term then to propose tax increases. There is no need to go voting to raise taxes; doing nothing will raise taxes.
And Newsweek knows this.
And how about that bit about Dubya trying to privatize social security, a program dimwit Newsweek says has saved countless lives since its inception.
Okay, folks, I know Newsweek thinks we are all stupid but at times they confuse us with their liberal inside-the-beltway readers. For we know that Soc. Sec. has not saved lives...that better medical care has saved lives. Soc. Sec. might make life easier in terms of finance but saving lives? Their argument is that had Dubya succeeded in further privatizing SS that Grandma would have died.
Finally, heh, how about that bit about it being a damn good thing Dubya couldn’t privatize SS cause elderly suicides would have greatly increased with the fall of the stock market.
Sheesh. How on earth does Newsweek know this? I’ll go out on a limb and say with the initial attempt at privatizing retirement, the 401K or IRA, have done a damn good job of making Americans even more prosperous and even with the recent downturn of the stock market well I didn’t hear endless news stories about folks killing themselves. That’s because the money made from rising stock markets during affluent times offset handily the recent downturn.
I can just hear Rahm and The Won in the Oval office cooking up this stupid story. Of course they got to call up Newsweek, which no one reads, no one, and it’s only value is as a talking point.
They think we all were born yesterday.

They are not even a magazine anymore. They are merely a propaganda outlet for the 0bamination in the White House.
The Newspeak “argument” apparently is that little Judy and little Johnny will pull the plug on Grandma - or maybe she’ll pull it on herself - to dodge the estate tax. And it’s all the Republicans’ (read GW’s?) fault.
Our attack must have really hit them where it hurts.
To quote one of their idols: “Better put some ice on that.”
How can you tell when a liberal is lying?
And if the RATS were gunning for granny, Newsweak would be the first to tell us - no?
They are cram full of slow Javascript.
I thought this was satire at first.
The estate tax reset will result in the elderly being DNRed by their kids? Mr. Weisberg would be right at home in my family of slobberingly leftist, brain-dead Reform Jews who are educated far, far beyond their ability to understand. I left a message but I’m sure he’s glued to the TV, tissue in hand, to watch Chappaquiddik Ted’s funeral. (Mr. Weisberg, you don’t EVER want to equate Abortion-on-Demand Ted’s career to one of “saving lives.”)
This is humorous. Give it all the attention it deserves — laugh at it. MANY Seniors recognize this for what it is today. those who don’t, NEVER will.
Jacob Weisberg
He served as the editor of Slate magazine for six years, until stepping down in June 2008. He is the son of Lois Weisberg, a Chicago social activist
The creator and author of the Bushisms series, Weisberg published The Bush Tragedy
Weisberg, was noted to have also made critical comments regarding Mormons, and in particular presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Weisberg authored an opinion piece on Slate in which he argues it is not bigoted to refuse to vote for a Mormon, especially one who believes in the "founding whoppers of Mormonism." He also stated that he would never vote for a Scientologist or a young earth creationist.
In August 2008, Weisberg stated on Slate that the only reason Barack Obama would ever lose to John McCain is racism by white Americans against Obama. He stated that "If Obama loses, our children will grow up thinking of equal opportunity as a myth."
Who reads NEWSWEEK?
All six pages of it. NO ONE that I know.
"What I've tried to do," he explained at the outset of a recent online chat at washingtonpost.com, "is provide an early historical perspective on George W. Bush. Instead of arguing, as so many have, that he is a bad president, I largely assume that he has failed as president, and ask the more interesting question of why."
