The bottom line question for all of us is should we part company or continue trying to forcibly impose our wills on one another?
Walter E. Williams
A very wise man...
But since I certainly agree that there is a clear division between the two ideologies, I also keep wondering why we need to try to find, and be told we need to find that “common ground”???
When there is, and cannot be any common ground...
There is no reason why we should enslave ourselves, and allow some others to keep us together when both sides do not wish to...
If you live in a state that decides to secede from this Union, and you do not like it...MOVE!!!
I am absolutely positive that if you have trouble doing so, there are plenty of people who would respectfully help you to see that come to fruition, and it will certainly be done without any violence on your part, unless you want to continue to be a part of that violence that has been brought to these townhall debates by the ACORN and SEIU thugs...
Still, you can get out of a state that wants to continue to provide all the givernment intrusion into your personal lives as you can handle...I would probably do that side of the equation very quietly, because they may not have the same, mature and virtuous sentiments as we do in these states...
The time to go ahead and start making the right noises and doing the right things to make that happen is now...Don’t wait till it gets closer to the local and state elections, don’t let that get bogged down with all the hand-wringing...Pull the plug, and lets get it done while the temperament of the country is strong...
Otherwise, the leftist/elitists and statists love this type of angst and unrest in the populace...They thrive on it, and it helps their side to keep everyone down, and not in the ballgame...
All it would take is a motion, and a second to get the ball on the roll...But since the Texas legislature is not in session, it might be a little hard to do so, unless our governor steps up and carries this through like he has said he is not opposed to...
The best part about all of this is that the darn sun will still come up in the morning, and still go down in the evening...Its just going to be a lot less stressful and less complicated...
