"This used to be America," argued a protester outside a health-care town hall meeting in Reston, Va., after a police officer threatened him with arrest for holding up a sign with a picture critical of Barack Obama.
The officer's response?
"It ain't no more, OK?"
A video of the town hall held earlier this week by Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., shows an unnamed protester standing on school grounds carrying a sign that read "Organizing for National Socialist Health Care The Final Solution" and depicted Barack Obama in the Joker's makeup.
Officer Wesley Cheeks Jr. then told the protester that even though others were holding signs, his sign was unacceptable because of the depiction of Obama.
"But you got this with a picture," Cheeks said, explaining why the protester was being singled out from the others. "That's the difference. This has got a picture on it. That don't have a picture on it.
"Sir, leave the picture down," the officer said. "If you put the picture back up, you'll be charged with trespassing."

It is the lame stream press who is the enemy as well their useful idiots like the cop.
Cheeks IS part of the problem and you attempting to hold him blameless is tantamount to a Nazi claiming he “was just following orders”.
You betcha, Thanks, Jeffhead for the poster.(Thumbs up)
I don't think you could find a much more fitting expression than this poster. Unfortunately the joke is on us.
” It Ain’t America No Mo “
The shot heard round the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s already been determined in another case that a police officer doesn’t have the authority to bring a trespassing charge on his own authority - the trespass request must come from an owner or other authority over the private property in question.
This sort of thing happened to Danladi Moore at a town-owned shopping venue when he was carrying openly, and he was charged with trespassing by an overzealous cop, and arrested. The case was ultimately thrown out. “School board property?” Same fact pattern. Officer Cheeks needs to be harshly disciplined.
I’m disappointed and embarrassed.
I had hoped that the “New Revolution” would have been forged in a phrase that was, at least, proper english.
We’ve gone from “Give me liberty or give me death” to “It ain’t no mo”
Perhaps it’s indicative of WHY we have a revolution.
“Some fight for Freedom, Some fight for honor and some just fight because those sorry SOB’s are too lazy to learn to speak properly”
“Don’t’ tread on me no mo”
LOL
It’s time to start calling them for what they are - I’ve added to my tagline.
Now that I look at the video a little more he is standing in front of a Law enforcement vehicle. Although, I did just spend a considerable amount of time looking for Fairfax County and Reston Police uniforms.
Didn’t see any that look like the Cheeky officer. The border of side panel on his sleeves and the insert look nothing like the ones I could find.
Also cannot tell from the video if he is wearing a badge, cuffs, pepper spray, magazine holder. I do see the radio.
I will give that he is an officer and a lame one at that.
BTW, the chubby cheek squirrely moron next office cheek is just one odd looking smartass who couldn’t find his own ass with two hands.
see my #50
part of the issue is that this was on a school property. Freepers should be do some legal research to determine what is allowed in such circumstances because the Dems may start to use schools to thwart anti-Obama people.
He looked as if he was the security force for the school or for the Fairfax County School district perhaps. I was there Tuesday and saw both Fairfax County police as well as school security. This guy did not have a Fairfax County Police uniform.
Consider the “FRIGGIN” source!!
“Im just guessin hes black”
You’re a WINNER!
Someday soon pigs like this will be coming for our guns...
But he *is* a white man. Some people choose to look at his black half ... I’ll look at his white half. All those people that think they voted for a black man voted for a white man.
idiot cop, probably a member of ACORN
I would say that if everyone emails the school board, we might get some reactions...

You may call Cheeks a “stupid tool,” but he’ll still be the one pulling the trigger on the weaponry used to drive you back, wound, or kill you if things continue along the trajectory they’re on.
Sun Tzu wrote: “Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.”
If we can break the enemy’s resistance by making an example of Officer Cheeks about what happens to fascist cops who violate their oath to support the Constitution of Virginia and the United States, then that is “supreme excellence.”
Cheeks actually believes what he says, that he can arrest anyone for anything and get away with it, and that’s a BIG PART of what we’re fighting against. If we don’t punish Cheeks, and instead leave him and the cops who think just like him alone, and go after the higher-ups who are surrounded by hundreds of armed men just like Cheeks, then how can you possibly expect to win?
See, the transient politicians are not the root of this poisonous tree, the roots go much deeper into the recruitment, training, the culture, and the attitudes of police all across the country. Voting out one empty suit politician and replacing him with another will do NOTHING to educate Officer Cheeks, or punish him for violating civil rights.
Joe the Plumber just asked a question that others didn’t like. Officer Cheeks threatened to use the violent power of the State to punish someone for criticizing a politician.
What Officer Cheeks did is a FEDERAL CRIME, while asking an uncomfortable question is NOT. It’s foolish to compare Cheeks to Joe the Plumber.
Yes, Cheeks is a man, but he has a mind of his own and can DECIDE whether or not to violate the law and trample the rights of the citizens who pay his salary. Cheeks is a criminal, and he doesn’t deserve any more sympathy than a mugger, a bank robber, a wife-beater, or any other person who uses threats of violence to make other people obey.
I saw another Black police officer years ago in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was dressed in riot gear, defending the lives of hooded Ku Klux Klan members against an large, angry mob.
THAT cop is a HERO and a tribute to the badge, Cheeks is just a thug with a badge who can’t control his emotions.
