I knew a kid in high school who got drunk with a friend. They were playing with a pistol and one of the kids by accident shot himself.
The other kid “bragged’ how tough he was because he saw someone die.
Sick

Kennedy was one sick jerk but who is even more disgusting is Ed Klein, former foreign editor of Newsweek and former editor-in-chief of The New York Times Magazine who saw joking about the murder of Mary Jo as a positive. What world do these people live on?

"He Loved to Joke About Chappaqiddick" An excellent epitaph for his tombstone.
Concise, yet wholly descriptive of the man.

Wondering what kind of day Teddy is having? I sincerely hope he is wandering the mists of the after world, finding no one to listen, communicate, or commiserate. I believe complete isolation, without admiring sycophants, without servants and aides to do his bidding would be better than flames. Kennedy had outsized appetites and an outsize ego. If he gets his just deserts, he will be lost in the mists alone for the next millineum or so.

There is no way of knowing whether or not Ted asked for or received forgiveness for his crimes here on earth. He clearly has some splaining to do. The Lord will want to know why he did not help Miss Kopechne. The Lord will want to know why he did not honor and cherish his wife. The Lord will want to know why he promoted the killing of millions of unborn babies.
I suspect today Ted is where his father is, not where Miss Kopechne is.

It is pretty sad that the only thing he will be remembered for is a bridge over the Chappaquiddick and the consequences of his drinking spree that night.
The event did not appear to change his life or make him more humble. Nor remorseful about the loss of Mary Joe’s life.
And they wonder why the “Kennedy’s” were not respected in much of the country.

I don’t understand either why the reporter is not
affected by his words either. I atleast would have
said, “You’ve got to be kidding me—he joked about it???”
