The Office of Management and Budget has released its annual mid-session review that updates the budget projections from this past May.[1] They show that this year, Washington will spend $30,958 per household, tax $17,576 per household, and borrow $13,392 per household. The federal government will increase spending 22 percent this year to a peacetime-record 26 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP). This spending is not just temporary: President Obama would permanently keep annual spending between $5,000 and $8,000 per household higher than it had been under President George W. Bush.[2]

We've gone from insane to super-duper-crazy nuts. The only question is when does the sky fall on us?
...and Paul Krugman thinks we should spend even more! What an idiot! And he’s a Nobel Laureate! What does that tell you? Al Gore was not an abboration. Nobel is code word for liberal!
OMG is right. This is just plain crazy.
Laureate !!
Laureate (seriously) is the name of a NOODLE dish at a Chinese owned restaraunt in the Philippines called Chow King (or, as we call it, “Choking”).
Washington has lost its noodles, and they are choking us.
Unsustainable, and suicidal. Someone suggested that we simply move to back all of this with gold. I say we don’t have enough gold on the whole planet to pay this, and we’d need a solid gold asteroid the size of Manhattan to hit the earth, and even then I wonder if we would have enough...
Keep in mind that Congress has approved everything that is going on right now, and in order for some of these worst case scenarios to occur, the Congress would have to approve a lot more.
The only way to solve this problem once and for all is to fire the entire House of Representatives in 2010, and start over.

Hubby and I paid well over $31,000 for 2008. So glad we could pick up the slack for others.
Pity the MSM will bury this as “right wing fanatic” chatter.
However, looking objectively at this, I would say that this:
1. Makes significant federal expansion of healthcare programs nearly impossible.
2. Sets up very large federal and state tax increases, regardless of what happens.
These realities will derail a lot in D.C., regardless of politics and media.
Electing a liberal socialist has consequences. I hope all the ‘conservatives’ who voted for the ‘post partisan’ community organizer realize how stupid they are.
Indeed. Plus, America threw out enough Conservatives over the last two elections to make sure that the opposition cannot stand in the Kenyan's way if he chooses to steamroll his policies into law.
We are only beginning to pay the price of the huge mistake we made last November.
Fits very well!
Obama says we need free health care to fix the deficit. So when free health care fails he can say “I told you so” as liberals will forever. Typical cynical strategy, remember stimulus and cap and trade were about creating jobs???
My comment?? Make Obama own debt and unemployment. Stay on those two issues and stop defending entitlements for short term gain.
