snatched from a school bus stop? Was the school district held liable, as any private enterprise would have been?

What a stunning miracle for this family.

Now if only the world could find Madeline McCann and all the other missing children.

A husband and wife have been arrested in connection with the case and booked into County Jail in Martinez. Phillip Garrido, 58, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, kidnapping, rape, lewd acts with a minor, and sexual penetration. His wife, Nancy, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and kidnapping. Both are being held on $1 million bail.

Garrido is a registered sex offender stemming from a prior rape conviction. El Dorado sheriff’s deputies and FBI agents served a search warrant this morning at the Garridos’ home in Antioch.

Further details about the reappearance were expected from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department at a press conference on the case later today.

Wow... just wow, what a story. It’s just horrifying to think of what those monsters have taken from this girl. The formative years of her life, along with whatever other unspeakable things they’ve done.

She will have been pretty thoroughly brainwashed over those years. Sadly she’s going to be a psychological mess, even now. She’s going to have a difficult life to be sure.

Wow, how sad she has been living in God knows what conditions for 18 years, but thank God she is alive!!

Can you imagine how every parent of a missing or abducted child is praying for the same outcome?

“Jaycee left for school the morning of June 10, 1991, dressed all in pink and stood at the bus stop two blocks from her house. As her stepfather watched from the driveway, a gray car with two people inside pulled up, grabbed the child and sped away, according to witnesses.”

AH!! I sit on my front porch while my kids wait at the bus stop at the end of our driveway (which is pretty long). I may just have to humiliate them by waiting with them. Or at least sit behind the trees nearby. Just damn.
