Then a freshman, Kennedy was forced to withdraw from Harvard for two years after cheating on a Spanish final. According to The Education of Edward Kennedy, by Burton Hersh, the future U.S. Senator and presidential candidate had the roommate of one of his football teammates take the exam for him.

This time he was caught. How many times was he not?
Libs are pure hypocrites.
Teddy was the most over-rated politician I’ve ever seen.
bttt
The guy was a fraud. His dad was a rum-runner with mob connections. The whole family is an icon of illegitimacy.
Not only that, but since he was incapable of carrying a note, he brought sadness and shame to all Irishmen.
This it typical of liberals.
BTW, ever hear of see evidence of Obama graduating from anywhere, or his grades? Or even medical records? God only knows if we will ever see his birth certificate.
Kennedy married Virgina Joan Bennett on Nov. 29, 1958, and on Nov. 8th, 1960, he saw his brother, John F. Kennedy, elected President. After passing his bar exam and briefly serving as an assistant district attorney, Kennedy was elected to Senator in 1962, with the help of his Presidential brother's maneuvering,[8] and was re-elected to that office eight times. On. Nov. 22. 1963, Ted Kennedy suffered the death of his brother and President, due to assassination. Kennedy was seriously injured in a plane crash in 1964, which broke his back in nineteen places. As a result Kennedy suffered back and neck pain for the remainder of his life.
June 5,1968 saw the assassination of his brother, Senator Robert F. Kennedy. The following year Kennedy drove his car off a bridge at Chappaquiddick, Mass., and managed to escape, but failed to attempt to rescue his passenger, campaign worker Mary Jo Kopechne from drowning, or notify authorities till the next day.
In 1980, Kennedy campaigned to become the Democratic nominee for president, but lost to incumbent Jimmy Carter. Problems with alcohol and martial fidelity followed him,[9] and in 1984 he divorced his wife of 24 years. He later became the object of more controversy in 1991, when after the end of a night out with the senator, his nephew William Smith was charged with raping a woman. Although Smith was acquitted, the media attention negatively affected Kennedy. In 1992, Kennedy remarried, to Washington lawyer Victoria Reggie.[10][11][12] Kennedy also was the subject of controversy regarding his alleged advisement to the Soviet Union during the Presidency of Ronald Regan.[13]
During his career as Senator, Kennedy is credited with several legislative endeavors, primarily in liberal goals in welfare, civil rights, and education. He was instrumental in passing Head Start (part of the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act), and promoted the No Child Left Behind Act, as well as increases in minimum wage, and fought for unrestricted access to abortion, even in late term, and voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act. He repeatedly sought to pass hate crimes legislation, such as would penalize discrimination against homosexuals and women[14], and voted against DOMA. Kennedy was a strong supporter of the 1965 Hart-Celler Act, which signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson, which dramatically changed US immigration policy and numbers.[15]
During his tenure on the Senate Judiciary Committee Kennedy was an outspoken critic of conservative Supreme Court nominees, such as Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito. He also supported nuclear reduction treaties, and worked for more student aid for GIs, and led opposition to the Iraq war.
Kennedy success as a Senator was partly attributed to his ability to manage people. Thomas M. Rollins, former staff director of the Labor Committee, stated, "He's a genius at managing people." "Kennedy uses staff people the way Pony Express riders used horses: Ride 'em hard and then leap to another horse". His staff was one of the Senate's largest, with nearly 100 professionals and several dozen interns and visiting fellows.[16]
no known cheats and liars in the officer corp if you please...

"Dodd and Kennedy were also reported to have made a 'human sandwich' with a waitress at La Brasserie, another Capitol Hill restaurant. The report had it that Kennedy threw the woman on Dodd, who was slumped in a chair, and then jumped on top of her. She was said to have run screaming from the room."
"When she put in an appearance in their private retreat - 'The Teddy Kennedy Fun Room' - the Massachusetts senator picked her up and heaved her onto a table. The crystal candlesticks and champagne glasses shattered as he grabbed her again and flung her on top of Dodd.
"Then Kennedy threw himself on top of the woman. The waitress implored Mr. Kennedy to 'Get off me!'
"Another waitress entered to find 'things all tipped over and Kennedy was on top, [the waitress] was in the middle and Dodd was on the bottom.' At that point the sandwich was disassembled."
La Brasserie, a French restaurant on Capitol Hill, closed last month, after a 27-year history of catering to political bigwigs and Hollywood A-listers.
"It was quite a Hill institution," said Lynne Breaux, executive director of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, who has eaten there several times. "It was a lovely restaurant."
La Brasserie was located in a town house on Massachusetts Avenue Northeast. It served such politicos as the late Sen. Daniel Moynihan, New York Democrat, former Vice President Al Gore and the late Rep. Sonny Bono, California Republican, as well as actors like Jimmy Stewart, Paul Newman and Jane Fonda, [and who could forget Ted Kennedy and Chris Dodd making unique contributions to our sandwich menu] said Lynne Campet, a former co-owner of the restaurant.
"A lot of important people dined there," she said.
Mrs. Campet and her husband, Raymond, bought the restaurant in 1978 with Gaby and Marie Aubouin. At the time, it was a Greek-owned restaurant called Maxim's and previously a cafe called La Ruche.
Mr. Campet and Mr. Aubouin, who worked at the French Embassy together, built the restaurant into a neighborhood favorite. The outdoor patio was "very special," Mrs. Campet said, adding that diners sought the tables under the property's big tree.
The 2003 Zagat Survey, which rates restaurants in different markets, said La Brasserie's terrace "transports one to Paris."
The French-inspired menu included such items as the cold three pepper soup, crabmeat and mozzarella lasagna, homemade tarts and creme brulee.
In 1992, the restaurant was sold to sisters Audrey and Karinne Dequeker, who could not be reached for comment yesterday.
Liar , cheater , womanizer , drunk , and a lousy swimmer ...among other things . Yet Obama says he was one of the greatest Senators in history . Barf .
A related and very tragic, ans scary story, is that of Rosemary_Kennedy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosemary_Kennedy
It is possible that in Ted was seeking to atone for the guilt he must have felt, and justify his life, by catering to the victim mentality of the left, and actually did more damage by his support of its immorality.
Yet there is little doubt the Roman Catholic church will laud him at his funeral, rather than warn souls not to follow the example of such men who choose the broad way of eternal damnation. The real gospel of Rome, as effectually conveyed, is that as long as you die in her hands, eternal life is eventually assured.
I wish i had somebody to take my Spanish Exams.
My major was hard enough without having to deal with the stupid, Pain in the ass mandatory language requirements.
I might add that Kennedy was FUI “Flying under the Influence” which caused him to crash his plane.
Still a steaming turd on a Boston sidewalk.
And this mention of his time in the Army omits a nice tidbit -- papa Joe pulled strings so Teddy wouldn't go to Korea were that war thingy was going on.
Kennedy enlisted into the Army during his time off and after 16 months of service returned to Harvard in 1953.
He went off to Germany. Also note he didn't serve his full enlistment time, only 16 months, this was papa's strings again. Additionally, Teddy was such a go-getter in the Army he was discharged as a PFC.
And it really fries me that he's being buried in Arlington National Cometary where HEROES are buried. But the drunken sot qualifies because a) He served *honorably* in the US Military and b) Was elected to public office. (I checked the qualifications for burial when I heard of this outrage)
