'Freethought' Kids' Camp Launches in Texas (Temple of Darwin evangelizes children with evo-religion)
ICR ^ | August 26, 2009 | Christine Dao

Even in the heart of the Bible Belt, Texas isn’t immune to the proliferation of atheistic propaganda, whether in its public schools or now in atheist summer camps.

Camp Quest—with the tagline “It’s beyond belief!”—bills itself as “the first residential summer camp in the history of the United States for the children of Atheists, Freethinkers, Humanists, Brights, or whatever other terms might be applied to those who hold to a naturalistic, not supernatural world view.”[1]

The first UK Camp Quest, which received funding from the Richard Dawkins Foundation and other private donors, launched late July in England, and five other Camp Quest locations have been established in North America.[2]...

As far as the polls showing belief in creationism, they never show you the breakdown by race and education for a good reason...

LOL funny!

Let’s start with FR, since so many liberals are on here attacking creationism and pretending the normal majority are in the minority....

Let’s not forget that many of the greatest scientists the world has ever known have been...gasp...creationists!

Suupose I make a lasagna.

Eventually via leftovers it reaches the dog.
The dog is told I made lasagna and now it’s his.

Thousands of years later dogs have discovered that “oven”
and “pan” were used. Evidence exists of “ingredients” playing a part.

“HERESY!” cry the creationist dogs. “Humble created the
lasagna, it was told to us and we believe the word!”

Well, I did. Made that lasagna, sure enough.
I just used pan, oven & ingredients to do it.

Which dogs would I laugh at?

The problem for your position is, he not only made the lasagna, he also made and holds together the ingredients that make the lasagna and the pan.

Collosians 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

You miss the point deliberately.

Evolution is a tool for creation. The two are not incompatible.

He told the whole world how He did it. Right here in Genesis....

Gen2:7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

And ....

Gen 2:19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

He clearly states how He did it and it wasn't through evolution.

Dinosaurs too?

Did He bury fossils to trick us?

Nice straw man GGG, but when that is all you have I guess you have to go with it.

“It is no valid objection that science as yet throws no light on the far higher problem of the essence or origin of life” (Darwin, Charles. The Origin of Species. 6th edition, 1882. p. 421

I suppose you would never “denigrate” that that POS Kennedy finally took a dirt nap today? Somebody griping about atheist Summer camps for kids will never be a problem with me or most Freepers.

I was not aware that Ted Kennedy was running an atheist summer camp. Here is my beef with these repeated postings on this forum of the same thing (over and over) by GGG:

From Webster's Dictionary:

FORUM:
"an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest."

GGG is NOT INTERESTED in "discussion". He is interested only in affirmation of his views, or the "missionary conversion" of others. Say "amen" with him, and he and his choir will ping you back and forth with essentially the same articles from the same sources over and over.

However, ask a pointed question, offer scientific references that refute a point, and you will be met with rebuttals such as, "You are Worshiping at the Temple of Darwin" or "So says 'EVILutionists'", etc, etc.

So, as I have asked in the past, WHY? Why post these things over and over and over? Who are you convincing? Every one of these threads "devolves" if you will, into the same tit for tat name calling, with very little actual back and forth conversation, which is the expressed purpose of a "Forum".

Now, you originally chided me for jumping down his throat. I have explained my position that my posting was to point out that GGG is obsessed with posting about DARWIN, DARWIN, DARWIN 24/7. There are plenty of other religious camps for kids that are SURE to hold beliefs contrary to Mr. GGG, yet I do not see the same fervor from him about those.

On these matters, I defer to our brilliant founding father, Thomas Jefferson: "But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."

You'll note that I do not obsessivly post new threads on my religious beliefs.

Why the strawman? The question you asked was about how God created creatures, not about Adam naming them.

The Scripture posted answers your question.

Changing the subject because you can’t contest what Scripture says proves nothing, except that you were pwnd.

Show me that missing rib and we’ll end the “missing link” nonsense.

Oh, sweetie, I know it upsets you, but your little attempts at being clever just fall short. Keep trying though. Maybe some day you'll figure it out.
