Sen. Ted Kennedy Dies

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, longtime Democratic senator and the patriarch of the Kennedy political family, has died after a lengthy battle with brain cancer.

The Kennedy family released a statement early Wednesday morning saying, "Edward M. Kennedy – the husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle we loved so deeply – died late Tuesday night at home in Hyannis Port. We've lost the irreplaceable center of our family and joyous light in our lives, but the inspiration of his faith, optimism, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever. We thank everyone who gave him care and support over this last year, and everyone who stood with him for so many years in his tireless march for progress toward justice, fairness and opportunity for all. He loved this country and devoted his life to serving it. He always believed that our best days were still ahead, but it's hard to imagine any of them without him."

In recent weeks, Kennedy had received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama, and his younger sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, died. News came last week that the senator had sent a letter to the governor of Massachusetts, asking that he work to change the state's laws of succession to fill his Senate seat quickly through a direct appointment, rather than through a lengthier special election process. Kennedy's letter, as well as his absence from the White House Medal of Freedom ceremony and his sister's funeral, fueled speculation that his health condition was grave.

This is the FBI file on Chappaquiddick. Can anyone imagine had this happened now? Clearly Senator Stennis failed to repremand or hold any hearing of Senator Kennedy.

The file contains the inquest whereby Kennedy testified in his own behalf. It is incredibly perjurous.

Please all..let's not play God and send people to hell. If it wasn't for Jesus Christ paying for all our sins hell would be the destiny for all of us. Disagree with the man yes, but leave the sending to hell to the Almighty!

As a Christian atheist (someone who doesn't believe in the existence of any deity, but more or less follows the code of Christian ethics), I was only being rhetorical. If I'm wrong about the existence of a deity, and some deity does exist, and that deity is just (Vishnu, Apollo, Jesus or whatever), Kennedy is being spit-roasted over a hot fire for the rest of eternity.

Kennedy’s smear of Judge Bork on the US Senator floor:

Kennedy betrays President Reagan:

May 14, 1983 document from the KGB archives reveals that Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) reached out to the General Secretary of the Soviet Union’s Communist Party, Yuri Andropov, to propose a kind of public relations strategy to counter President Reagan’s defense policy initiatives toward the Soviet Union, policies that Kennedy felt were too aggressive.

Spiritually speaking, Ted Kennedy has been dead practically since birth. He spent his whole life a human appendage of a rotting, corrupt party, a crook who would emerge even from the hottest bath still stinking of booze. He survived longer than the rest of his family because his “life” was, until today, just a biological technicality — it is hard to kill what has, inside, been dead all along.

RIP...? I think not.

Now you’ve given me another of his achievements to mention:

He kept the stereotype about Irishmen and drinking alive. Well, that is an accomplishment, isn’t it? Let’s make a list, so we won’t have to dig among the posts. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

1. Helped guarantee Reagan’s election in 1980 by undermining Carter.
2. Inspired term limits.
3. Kept the stereotype of Irish drinking problems alive.

The last few days some liberals in the state-run media have been wishing out loud that Kennedy would resign since he has been incapable of voting and they desperately need his vote to communize our healthcare system. Strange that he would suddenly die on demand.

Not surprising though that his last act on earth would be a selfish one: holding his senate power well beyond his ability to fill the position. Power is EVERYTHING to these liberals and that should scare us all.

My mother once told me to never speak ill of the deceased so I agree. Ted Kennedy helped weaken Carter in the 1980 Dem Primaries. He helped pave the way for Reagan. Thank you, Ted. RIP.
