Recall too that “Animal Farm” begins with the death of Old Major.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm

A prize Middle White boar is the inspiration that fuels the Rebellion in the book. He is 12 years old. According to one interpretation, he could be based upon both Karl Marx, founder of modern Marxism and the base for Communism, (in that he describes the ideal society the animals could create if the humans are overthrown) and Vladimir Lenin (in that his skull is put on revered public display, as was Lenin’s embalmed corpse). However, according to Christopher Hitchens: “the persons of Lenin and Trotsky are combined into one [i.e., Snowball], or, it might even be [...] to say, there is no Lenin at all.”

RECALL this moment when they try to spin Obamacare as “Ted Kennedy’s lasting legacy”.

He's gone but the MSM and liberal worshipers will never allow us to forget him.

He may have. But it didn’t happen as he wished, did it?

Now for the later election and the Senate down to 58 dimocrats — Counting Byrd very sick.

Quote: I thought that bird was based on Tip O’Neil.

Oh dear! If that is so, I have been assuming (we know what THAT means) the wrong thing all along.

Time to google the Shoe archives.

A quick search shows nothing but Wasn’t O’Neil in the House? This guy (Belfry) is a senator...

I always understood what he said at that rally:
“And reelect him on the egg-butter bar”! What else could it possibly mean?
You forgot the time he stopped a wind power project from being developed on Long Island Sound, for fear it might interfere with his yachting.
Then there was the time that his obnoxious nephew Kennedy-Smith was accused of raping a girl, and he dragged his dead president brother into his testimony on the stand.
Let’s not forget his other nephew, the one who had sex with his fifteen-year-old kids’ baby-sitter, and he paid the parents off with sweetheart contracts with the City of Boston. Ted’s father Joe would have been proud of all this corruption and chicanery. But alas, the sitter-shtupping nephew, who showed such promise and had so much talent, later played football on skis in a forest, and bashed his brains out against a tree. Sob.

Not enough syllables for that incoherent bit of raving. It was “...and reelect him on the __ __ _ __”

Sounded originally to me like “and re-elect him in the next round”.

But Rosebud is more enegmatic (think Citizen Kane) and just as meaningless.

Let’s continue to reminisce. There was also the time in the ‘90s that ACORN activists disrupted a Senate Subcommittee hearing on forcing sane lending criteria down the throats of those swingin’ guys at Ginny Mae and Fanny Mae, and were arrested by those Republican boot boys who keep order at the Capitol. Teddy boldly marched up to the head praetorian and demanded that they release the one ACORN activist from Massachussets, and they ended up releasing everyone. The hearing went nowhere, and the banking rules remained unchanged, so that we had such a nice crisis in 2008. Let’s not waste it, so many spent a few hours in lock-up to make that crisis possible. Let not their sacrifice be in vain. Nationalize everything. Thank you, Ted.

We have no idea if Senator Kennedy had a deathbed re-conversion. We cannot judge.

Maybe not, but results equal intentions. Ted K. knew he was sick and dying, and God was gracious to him by giving him a year to repent. What did Ted do that last year? Continue to push abortion and unGodly causes. IMHO he didn't make good use of the time he had left.
