BTW, as far as I can see, there is no part of the US Code that mandates you answer questions from a Commerce Department contractor (i.e., ACORN). If I understand correctly, the law (Title 13 US Code) only mandates you answer questions posed to you by an actual government employee. Please, somebody, correct me if I'm wrong.

the sooner we get rid of acorn and orgs like it the better. but i dont hear anyone calling for end of funding in the republican party....is anyone listening to john mcpain...lol
It will ALREADY BE TOO LATE by the mid-term elections in 2010. The census count will be mostly already done by then.
State elections may be just as important in mitigating the census damage, because legislatures and governors will be in charge of redistricting using the new census stats.
Gerrymandering is a fine art, and a destructive one in the wrong hands.
Not to mention that ACORN, an organization that should be investigated under the RICO statutes, has been tasked with
“assitsting” in the census process by the Obama Administration.
Counting illegal aliens does indeed violate one-person one-vote rules.
In fact, the apportionment should be based on the number valid citizens of voting age.
Well, the state legislatures will be doing the gerrymandering in 2011. And the Congress could, if the numbers were there, hold hearings, expose the (now) coming (and then past) fraud, and force a redo. (I'm dreaming, but I am talking a veto-proof Congress here).
But if we don't take everything we can in 2010, we will be gerrymandered out of power forever.
Where have you all been? It WILL be too late?
Your problem is that ACORN will not be hired as a “CONTRACT” officially, they’ll merely hire (former or current) acorn “volunteers” or paid workers to work as Department of Commerce employees on an idividual basis.
I agree with you that it is cruical that we take Back State Legislatures (this may be more important than Congress as well..in the long term).
Argument II for unconstitutionality:
1) Census workers gathered GPS data on the location of citizens homes, with no compelling reason tio do so, other than warrentless search and seizure opportunity usinng surveilance by Satellite and Sureillance drones.
2) No one gave permisssion for the establishing of their personal home location in such a geo sat data base. It was unilaterally gathered without the consent or knowledge of the citizenry.
3) The data can be entered into military nav systems of aircraft and loaded into attack cruise missiles and smart bombs , for example.Few citizens know about or are informed about this possibility.
The gathering of military intelligence in such an executive data base on US citizens is unconstitutional. For that reason, citizens are encouraged to refuse census data to census workers.DO NOT PARTICIPATE!
John McCain is a milquetoast RINO who is only (even in this town-hall) is only marginally opposing Obama’s Healthcare, he is not really going after it/the plan and him!
The results and effects of this non-census will still be under litigation in 2020, when the next one takes place.
Illegals are always counted for reapportionment purposes; this is not something new for this census.
The Constitution requires that apportionment be based on "the whole number of persons in each State" (14th Amendment, section 2). Nothing in there about citizens or legal residents.
FTA: “The bottom line is, critics assert, millions of illegal immigrants will be counted for apportionment purposes, handing states with large illegal immigrant populations - California, Texas, Florida - new congressional seats at the expense of others.”
So everyone in the remaining 47 states need to overstate their numbers to offset the illegal aliens in CA, TX, and FL. I’m in California so I can’t participate in the numbers inflation idea, but it should be pushed especially hard in the reddest of the red states.
Spread the word far and wide. If every conservative household added 2 people to their official census numbers we/they could effectively shift the congressional apportionment to our side.
That is complete B.S.
Either the writer is too lazy to do actual research of the 2000 Census or is choosing to put out incorrect information.
In Census 2000 respondents were not asked about their citizen status on the Short Form.
Exactly.
And I don’t want to hear any holier-than-thou conservatives saying that they’ll stay at home rather than vote for RINOs, or cast a “protest” vote for third-party candidates that can’t win.
Anyone who doesn’t vote Republican next year is, in my opinion, part of the problem. And I am NOT a Republican.
Like it or not, the Republican Party is the only established and organized opposition. Electing as many GOP state legislatures and governors is the only antidote to what ACORN/Obama is going to do to the census. And it’s a poor defense.
Unless, of course, the courts somehow get involved before the count starts early next year. I don’t see that happening.
We now live in a Melaninocracy. Ba$tards.
” . . . we/they could effectively shift the congressional apportionment to our side.”
And burn in hell.
Isn’t telling a lie to further a good cause one of the tenets of Islam?
Count me out.
In fact, the apportionment should be based on the number valid citizens of voting age.
In this country, we abide by the Constitution and the 14th Amendemnt directs us to count the whole number of persons, not just citizens.
audiance is starting to nail him
