Adoring Vineyard vacationers largely seem to be fine with the Obama administrations efforts to protect the first familys privacy while out in public, though one expert said that runs afoul of Americans constitutional right to gawk at occupants of the White House.
President Obamas aides have asked the press to lay off his young daughters during their Vineyard vacay, though Obama routinely trotted out Sasha, 8, and Malia, 11, for the press during the campaign.
The administration also has banned the pool of reporters covering the presidential visit from giving status updates on the Obamas activities, on pain of being kicked out of the pool.
Meanwhile, the Secret Service confiscated diners cell phones to prevent them from snapping photos at a Washington, D.C., burger joint earlier this month while first lady Michelle and her daughters ate there, according to the New York Post. Other news outlets made no mention of confiscations and reported excited patrons used camera phones, however.

Under what authority did they confiscate personal property in a public place?

Sarah gets altered pictures to try to make her look bad.
It’s hard to pray eastward—from what I heard—with interruptions.
Can we PLEASE have a Mulligan on the election?

Interesting timing, what with this being the start of Ramadan—wouldn’t want to list attending Noon prayers or Friday Mosque, now, would we?
Under what authority did they confiscate personal property in a public place?
Gee, I never knew that the Fourth Amendment ended at a 100 foot radius from the POTUS!
That’s just as well.
Let them have their privacy.
And let us not hear a word about them.
Win-Win
It doesn’t sound like the duffer-in-chief is playing too well.
On the second hole, a neighbor described Obama shooting at best a triple-bogey, or three over par.
“He and his foursome were coming up the fairway and it must have been his I don’t know second or third shot. All I heard him say was ‘fore!’ and he hit a tree, but he was not too far from the green,” said Sally Fitzgerald, a year-round resident who lives next to the second hole.
“So, he chipped up a pretty good chip, and then I think he had three putts to get in, but that’s a tough green.”
Later, as he was finishing up his 9-hole round, he left a putt short. It was close enough for him; the president picked it up as a gimme’ as in give-me-a-break.

Side note: I played that course a couple times in June. Spike Lee has a compound next to the 18th tee. I was tempted to hook my tee shot his way but thought the better of it. He also flies a GIANT NY Yankees flag about 75 ft. in the air so you can’t miss it from over half the course, the asshat. Also if IIRC you can see the Chappaquidick bridge from the eighth hole. I may be wrong I’m going to check now.
Do we know if he’s fasting? Has he been spotted in a restaurant?
