Excellent. I admire the way Dick Cheney (and for that matter, his whole family including wife Lynne and daughter Liz) are clear in their focus, very plainly spoken, but very powerful in their words.

See what the wimps in the WH and the DOJ do with that now. If AG Holder pursues this at 0bama’s direction, it will be down a rabbit hole that will only push this administration further away from the American people and make all less safe. ... And should lead to big Republican wins in 2010 (from my keyboard to God’s ears).

... decision to remove authority for interrogation from the CIA to the White House....

Well, the mighty 0 owns it all now. When the interrogators can't threaten anyone any more, nobody will give any answers.

The mighty 0's approach to national security reminds me of the series "The Colony". It's a semi-reality show about a group of 10 people who are trying to survive following a theoretical virus attack that killed most of the population. They are holed up in an abandoned warehouse that has all kinds of potential. The problem is, they got comfortable with being able to gather food, water, and even electrical power, but neglected security. Then they were attacked because they were seen as weak. That's going to happen to us. There are real marauders out there in the world that don't give a rap about human rights or dignity.

Succinct and accurate.

Thank you, Vice President Cheney.

“Mecca would have been a smoldering crater soon after 9/11”

You’re free to project what you want onto the Vice President, but the Cheney I see is not one to do something so enlarging as to destroy Mecca.

That would take it from war against Jihadists to war on every man, woman and child of Muslim belief.

Every Muslim ally of America, every American Muslim would become our mortal enemy.

The duty would become to kill every Muslim if they failed to renounce their religion.

The Cheney I see is not a conflict-enlarging, rash individual.

He knew how to deal with it. INTEL. He got information from al-qaeda on al-qaeda. He went after the targets on the battlefield. Drones and other means bombed the crap out of high value targets. In many ways he adopted Israel’s policy of no mercy on the very guys who carry out terror against them. And He knew how to enlarge the battlefield in the Middle East such as in Iraq.

When I say “he”, understand that he was not President. George W Bush gave those orders and set that policy.

Where they probably differed was it wasn’t Cheney going out of his way to compliment some aspects of Islam, as the President did.

But prosecuting war against the Jihadists was something they did TOGETHER. It could not have been otherwise.

Obliterating Mecca after 9/11?

Not Cheney.

Not even close.

Is this constitutional or legal? Any legal types out there with an opinion?

I said it before and I'll say it again: With Obama's complex psychodynamics, his NPD, childhood, et al, is he Inviting an Attack?

The Obama admin IS the attack. All external threats pale in comparison to the damage they are doing and plan to do. Terrorists can't take you freedoms away. Only domestic enemies can do that.

You’re right, Obama is the attack. So when are we going to defend ourselves and start the March Up Country to Washington?

It’s always refreshing to read BS-free/get to the point language. Cheney is greatly missed.
