This is really a telling line. For his own grandmother, or another rich person’s grandmother, they’ll get that new hip. But for the peons, they’ll get the cheaper painkiller.
Except maybe his grandma would have been out of luck, had she needed to rely on her grandson. He’s letting his own aunt live on the dole (ILLEGALLY!) and he didn’t even go to this same grandma’s memorial service.
Quite the strange duck America has placed in charge. No wonder they are frightened now.

His grandmother lives there.
He didn't even let his kids visit their aging grandmother.

Another point is that under the new health bills if a doctor takes money from gov programs, they CANNOT do operations etc for people with the money to pay full price in cash.
And even if they don't take gov money, I think doing operations for people that can pay the full price will be a no-no too.
