CIA Used Gun, Drill in Interrogation (some laughs here)

CIA interrogators used a handgun and an electric drill to try to frighten a captured al-Qaeda commander into giving up information, according to a long-concealed agency report due to be made public next week, former and current U.S. officials who have read the document said Friday.

The tactics -- which one official described Friday as a threatened execution -- were used on Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, according to the CIA's inspector general's report on the agency's interrogation program. Nashiri, who was captured in November 2002 and held for four years in one of the CIA's "black site" prisons, ultimately became one of three al-Qaeda chieftains subjected to a form of simulated drowning known as waterboarding.

The report also says that a mock execution was staged in a room next to one terrorism suspect, according to Newsweek magazine, citing two sources for its information. The magazine was the first to publish details from the report, which it did on its Web site late Friday.

Get this

They merely threatened to use an electric drill and gun on terrorists...a few mock executions too...

and the Washington Post and the Obama clones are getting all worked up. What world do these idiots live in?

Cone on now. I want the facts. No CIA cover up here. Was it a cordless? What volt was the battery? Did it have a reverse? And most important, what bit did they use?

I'm gonna drill your right eyeball out, then your left...

PS: I'd support this under the right circumstances.

At this point one has to seriously wonder about the WASHINGTON POST. Is this a serious periodical? Do these people really expect to generate more Bush outrage with this “story”?

What a joke they have become...just another DNC propaganda outlet.

"The federal torture statute prohibits a U.S. national from threatening anyone in his or her custody with imminent death"

Ok, the lawyer in me is coming out. If you pretend to execute someone in the next room but you never tell the person you are questioning that you are going to kill him, it is not a threat. If he is afraid you may kill him that's on him and his assumption. :-) I know, that's lawyer bullchit but it's true.

It really should be open season on terrorists. The whole point of the Geneva Convention is that under certain circumstances, there are rules and limits to how far one can legally go in prosecuting a war. But if the other side is not a participant in the Geneva Convention, then there are no rules and there are no limits. It’s pretty binary.

I love happy endings.

Too bad they didn't use the drill.

Those nasty C.I.A. men. They’re so mean! They should have gotten on one knee and appealed to the humanity of those poor, misguided young men and ASKED to know when the next attack would occur! It’s certain they would have had better results!

Translation: “How dare those American C.I.A. men terrorize the allies of Liberal Democrats!!!”

IMHO

Life imitates art
Just like the mafiosos felt they had to live up to the GodFather movies

Only catch is terrorists do drill enemies knees and elbows in 24 (season 6 -Morris got shoulder drilled) and in real life.
