So Asians have a lock on cruelty?????
Did you read the article?
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Did I say that? Or is that where you are taking my statement. I made a comment that something about the Asian culture makes for particular broad based cruelty. I didn't say anything about having a lock on it, or deny that other cultures lack cruelty, or anything of the sort.
“and yes there is something known as Asian culture.”
No there isn’t.
“I’m talking about a broader willingness to be cruel. “
Your racism is telling.
“It seems to me that something about Asian culture devalues life.”
As opposed to 40 million unborn babies killed in the US??
Well, yeah, he was.
The country of Georgia is generally considered to be located in Asia.
“I made a comment that something about the Asian culture makes for particular broad based cruelty.”
No you made a racist comment with a strong implication that Asians are more cruel than other people.
They are darned near half the population at last count, and the only advantage we seem to have over the Asian countries in this regard is that our mad-dog killers are almost all registered Democrats.
“The country of Georgia is generally considered to be located in Asia.”
The continent asia, not the ‘culture’ of Asian.
Was Vlad asian?
More accurately, Eurasia is a continent, as the division between Asia and Europe isn't geographical in nature.
Asian is a race of people.
Nope. Armenians, Siberian Russians, Arabs and Vietnamese are about as diverse as you can get.
yes there is something known as Asian culture.
Nope again. What exactly do Saudis, Georgians, Japanese, Afghans and Bengalis have in common culturally?
Vlad who?
Lenin?
Putin?
Dracul?
Yes I did. Thank you for stating the obvious. Unlike my liberal friends I don't think every race based statement is wrong or "immoral."
All statements based on race are not wrong. I would never treat Asians differently, I just wonder why it seems to exist. I could be wrong, I’m certainly not being dogmatic about it.
A shame-
The Laotian Hmong and General Vang Pao were good allies.
Brave people. “Meo Maquis” (Meo = Chineese subsect) (Marquis = “the bush”)
“It seems to me that something about Asian culture devalues life.”
There is no “Asian Culture.”
Each nationality is different and if you attempt to tar a Chinese as Taiwanese as Japanese as Thai or Malaysian, you are completely off base.
Each culture is different. There are evil people all over, many in the US, so don’t attempt to tar all Asians.
My comment still stands. If you look at the way the Japanese acted in WWII, and the way they acted in China, the Vietnamese were particularly cruel in war, the Chinese, the Koreans, this story about the Laosians is particularly cruel.
Again, I mean no offense to Asians. I have lived in Asia and very much enjoy Asians and their Asian Culture. I suppose technically it is Occidental Culture but it just doesn't have that ring. If I didn't have so many children here I would move back to Asia.
In any case, just take the statement at face value.
So true: Obama and his crew are more than willing to condemn generations of older Americans to an early and painful death through their health care reform.
But you did treat all asians differently by stating they were more cruel than anyone else.
No, of course not. I never stated that they were "more cruel than anyone else." There "seems" to be something in their society that makes cruelty broad and acceptable.
Read about the Rape of Nanking. Read about the brutality of tortures by the Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese etc.
In any case, my statement was an off handed statement in reaction to a horrible story about using a 2 year old for target practice.
I never meant to imply that Asians have a lock on cruelty.
Sure, read about the Holocaust too.
I've done better than read about it. I've been to the concentration camps. AGAIN, I didn't say that Asians had a LOCK on cruelty or atrocities. You either don't understand my statement or you don't care to.
