Democratic House Leaders Conceal Their Health Bill Covers Illegal Aliens

The House bill actually raises more questions than it resolves with respect to whether the bill will burden American taxpayers by giving health care benefits to legal and illegal aliens. Under Welfare Reform, legal aliens are required to wait five years before becoming eligible for welfare or other taxpayer funded benefits. The House bill eliminates that 5-year waiting period. Accordingly, legal aliens will become immediately eligible for this government handout paid for by American taxpayers. Illegal aliens are also likely to qualify for this affordability credit. This is because there are NO provisions that would prevent illegals from participating in the exchange or from receiving the credit. Likewise, there are NO requirements that a government agency verify eligibility. Accordingly, without these important safeguards, illegal aliens would probably receive this subsidy.

I’m as angry as you are about about the situation but IMHO the best strategy is for us to mobilize and defeat them electorally. We did it once before with the Senate ‘amnesty’ bill and we can do it again! We should use the same tactics: write and phone our congressmen, support groups that oppose the legislation, and don’t forget to pressure our local and state representatives. MAKE NOISE!

She hasn’t been deported. But the great story, to me, is about his brother in Africa who lives in a tiny hut in abject poverty. Rush made the comment today that it’s hilarious that Obama recently addressed the National Council of Churches and spoke about being “his brother’s keeper” to advance his socialist agenda. I agree. We all know that the far Left will distort and twist the meaning of every word in order to advance their agenda. This is why they’ve REFUSED to accept any amendments that specifically reject federal funds for abortion and specifically and clearly exclude illegal aliens. They love the ambiguity and lack of clarity - that way they can make of it what they will.

The House bill seems to have been written in such an ambiguous fashion that the supporters can contend that illegal aliens are prohibited from receiving benefits (as Cong. Dingell actually did at his town hall meeting), while practically speaking there would be no administrative impediments to the illegal aliens if the program were to go into effect. The proof of the pudding is that La Raza and other radical Hispanic groups are thrilled with the bill as it is.

Very true. By the way, Lou Dobbs has been doing a great job of exposing the social, national security and economic devastation that the amnesty and open-borders factions are bringing us.
