The author of The God Delusion and The Selfish Gene, whose new book, The Greatest Show on Earth, is serialised in The Times next week, has topped bestseller lists all over the world but never in a predominantly Muslim country.
None of Professor Dawkins books, on evolution as well as religion, has ever been translated into Arabic, and his work has been heavily censored in Turkey. In an interview with The Times, he said that popularising evolution in the Islamic world, where creationist beliefs are strong, was a challenge he is keen to take up. To be a bestseller in a Muslim country would be a personal triumph, he said.
I would like to see my books translated into Arabic. They havent been. They are all translated into Hebrew. Persian, Im not sure. My books are translated into Turkish and they regularly get censored and suppressed.
The experience of my Turkish publisher of The God Delusion was that he was threatened with arrest for blasphemy. He may even have been arrested, and my website has been banned in Turkey. I feel amused really. Theres something to be said for being suppressed, it makes people want to read you.
While most non-fundamentalist Christian traditions have largely accepted evolution, Islam was still much more hostile, he said. Its the fact that Islam teaches the Koran is the literal word of God, unlike most Christian sects, which say the Bible is largely symbolic. That could well be the cause.
Professor Dawkins added that Islamic influence is the likely explanation for the growing popularity of creationist beliefs in Britain, where a recent poll found that 30 per cent of teenagers accept the rebranded idea of intelligent design.

Pray for poor Dick. He’s suicidal.
That'll solve the extremist, radical Islam problem, for sure.
I applaud his efforts, anything in order to get islam to be debunked is good. I think he’s likely to end up dead for trying it though, unlike his attempts to do the same to any other religion.
Yeah, good luck with that.
We can’t even convince them that Allah doesn’t want them lopping off people’s heads, and you want them to become atheists...
A suggestion:
Move to the Middle East, Professor, where it will be easier to get your message out
I dare you
He can try. Tell him that he will have more success with them if he will indicate to them that he is Jewish.
Does this man have a death wish?
there is a lot to be said, Dick, about moving slowly with slow witted people.
I can't get the song "Heads are going to roll" by Judas priest out of my head thinking about the outcome.
"It seems obvious to us today that it's a poor survival strategy to incite hatred by challenging the beliefs of a violent group of radicals who strap bombs on children to defend their religion against outsiders, as Richard Dawkins found out in his final moments on earth..."
Evidence of how out of touch with reality the liberal atheistic mind can be. Dawkins mentally lives in a fantasy land.
I think this is great! He should fly immediately, if not sooner, to Saudi Arabia and begin preaching his religion to them. Does he need help with funding?
We are expected to learn about Islam but "American" Muslim organizations have no responsibility to learn about our social contract, our inalienable rights, our Constitution and Bill of Rights (except to the extend that they can be used to push Islam), our heritage, our customs, our laws .. nothing. Not a damn thing.
This is going to break one day. You can't get away for long with yanking on a junk yard dog's chain day after day.
Godspeed professor.
Yes, the HUMANISTS, that don't realize they are humanists compromise on evolution. The dopes don't realize that to accept evolution REQUIRES, yes REQUIRES the accepting of the evolutinionsit premise that THERE IS NO GOD.
This is one Creationist that will NEVER accept evolution. Evolution is a Sci-fi fairy tale. Islam is also a Creationist religion. Even Islam knows evolution is not possible.
Here's what the dope has to say about God:
The God Delusion is a 2006 bestselling non-fiction book by British biologist Richard Dawkins, professorial fellow of New College, Oxford,[1][2][3] and inaugural holder of the Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford. In The God Delusion, Dawkins contends that a supernatural creator almost certainly does not exist and that belief in a personal god qualifies as a delusion, which he defines as a persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence.
He is sympathetic to Robert Pirsig's observation in Lila that "when one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion."[4] ...
Dawkins had long wanted to write a book openly criticising religion, but his publisher had advised against it. By the year 2006, his publisher had warmed to the idea. Dawkins attributes this change of mind to "four years of Bush".[10]
(Yeah, he doesn't want to wake up those Humanists that really want to believe they are Christians.)
... According to the Amazon.co.uk website, the book led to a 50% growth in their sales of books on religion and spirituality (including anti-religious books such as The God Delusion and God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything) and a 120% increase in the sales of the Bible.[13]
(Yes, the Bible is still the most popular book despite these egotisical despots.)
...
The God Delusion is not just a defence of atheism, but also goes on the offensive against religion. Dawkins sees religion as subverting science, fostering fanaticism, encouraging bigotry against homosexuals, and influencing society in other negative ways.[26]
He is most outraged about the indoctrination of children. He equates the religious indoctrination of children by parents and teachers in faith schools to a form of mental abuse. Dawkins considers the labels "Muslim child" or a "Catholic child" equally misapplied as the descriptions "Marxist child" or a "Tory child", as he wonders how a young child can be considered developed enough to have such independent views on the cosmos and humanity's place within it.

How anyone that is rational can deny God created all because of His incredible Intelligent Design is a major fool. Pss.110:1 [1] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Rom.1:20 [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: I don't beleive I will be spending eternity with Dawkins UNLES he wises up and accepts Christ.

I dare you
Godless liberals are cowards.
He wouldn’t dare do that.
He should try — he’ll quickly meet his Waterloo.
No, it’s not the same thing, but given Dawkins atheist bus campaign, you don’t think that’s the goal?
