SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- The KCBS newsroom received calls Friday afternoon reporting an unusual and unpleasant smell in San Francisco.
Most of the callers reporting the odor were in the city's Sunset and Richmond districts.
A city spokesman said the sewage treatment plant didn't report having any problems and that everything appeared to be functioning normally.
A Public Utilities Commission spokesman did say that he smelled something unusual in the Civic Center area.
The stench could also be smelled for a time in the financial district.

Is it the combination of body odor, patchouli, marijuana smoke and urine? That would make sense.
When I was in S.F. last year I was overwhelmed at the number of dope smoking slackers and homeless cretins milling about. Their combined stench is as described above.

"A Public Utilities Commission spokesman did say that he smelled something unusual in the Civic Center area."
It couldn't possibly be people sleeping in their own urine and feces. (San Francisco has such a clean transit station near the Civic Center.)
The whole city smells like a toilet that hasn't been cleaned in decades...

Maybe the Lord is warning them its time to flush the toilet again, `a la 1906.Oh, the release of gases from underground prior to a quake? Let's hope all the decent or innocent folks take heed and leave before that pit of slime slides into the sea!

Was that really necessary?
In the future, before you post, I suggest you ask yourself this question: Is this comment in such poor taste that even Jeff Chandler might think twice about posting it?

Re:
Was that really necessary? Sorry if I ruffled you. Considering Nancy Pelosi is an affront to all FReepers, I did not think my comment would be in bad taste.
However, if I offended you, I apologize. It was not in intent.
I use one overriding qualification in my comments, if it make me chuckle... I use it!
Hey, I am... the same way!
Gadzooks! I may... have to rethink my position!

Bringing up Nancy Pelosi in any context is in bad taste.
