Democratic strategists say the Obama administration's evolving, abstract arguments for healthcare reform are backfiring and contributing to a decline in public support for the legislation.
The strategists, many of whom saw healthcare reform fail in the Clinton administration, contend that President Obama has advanced too many rationales for his plan, leaving people confused.
Conservative opponents of the overhaul increasingly use a simple, understandable message: Government-forced cost reductions will restrict treatments, imperiling the ill and elderly.

It's not just a propaganda slogan delivery battle. Opponents of the overhaul point to and read specific sections of HR 3200, the only version of the bill available, and see frightening things. I have yet to see a supporter of the healthcare initiative point to suspicious parts of the bill and explain why they mean something different and less threatening. That would be the way to go about it, but its tough, because the bill really does have some damning language in it. Instead, we get vague reassurances that the bill will mean something different, especially from Obozo.
Oh come on!! Everybody knows you can spend/borrow your way out of debt. /S
As with all Liberals in love with their ideas and themselves...its always a problem with the “presentation” to the peasants....never the ideas themselves....
The first outrage, as far as I am concerned, was when he INSISTED that it had to be passed in 2 weeks! What an abomination!
Obama’s worked really hard to get this unpopular.
