A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter. Thats because there isnt any. This right has never existed in America, Mackey wrote in the piece.
In response, a Facebook group called, Boycott Whole Foods, was founded, and today it has almost 23,000 members who have pledged to stop shopping there. Whole Foods spokesperson Libba Letton said theres no telling, whether or not the companys bottom line will be impacted by the boycott.

Not necessarily, sometimes it's cheaper at whole foods. And they have stuff that normal groceries just don't have, like low sodium food.

Boycott Whole Foods?
Where will all the whining liberals go to buy tofu and
alfalfa sprouts....?
I was already planning to visit my local Whole Foods tomorrow. I may pick up a few extra items unless I hear that they have apologized for the editorial and have begged the Obamunist’s forgiveness.
No. I’m saying that Obamacare has nothing to do with lowering costs.
“Id make a point of buying bulk lentils there, anyhow.”
Whole Paycheck Market has wonderful olive oil from Crete, too. I love that store and frankly I couldn’t care less about their corporate politics.
I dunno...this store does appeal to the crunchy granola type, if you know what I mean.
I like Trader Joe’s better anyway.
Does that mean there will be less 'natural' smelling leftists roaming the aisles? I'll have to find one close to me.
Even if they did, (probably using daddy's credit card), there just aren't enough of them to hurt whole foods.
Karma—ya gotta love it!
Top Chef/Bravo has some agreement as they always shop there in each season. In their Toyota RAV-4s dontcha know.
Our Whole Paycheck was a bought out local high end market and has retained some personality and persons from those days. Very different from the other one on my way home; it gives me the hives.
In the opening episode of the Goode Family, the Goodes were shopping in a One Earth grocery store, and liberal Gerald was unhappy about the prices but was shut down by his wife when he meekly suggested they shop at the wholesale grocery store across the street. They showed a whole line of green apples that looked identical, but the first bin said they were grown by a corporation and these apples were the cheapest. Each subsequent bin had a new layer of liberal guilt and a higher price, with the final bin being “organically grown, fair trade, etc.” at an outrageous price. To Gerald’s chagrin, those are the ones his wife took. Funny stuff.
Thread hijack: which oil do you recommend? I am out at the moment of the good stuff.
Mackey presented a good market solution to health care reform. People using their own money (HSA) do pay attention to the quality and price of services.
We love our HSA’s!
roflol!

If libs don’t like Whole Foods, it’s time for me to start buying more.
I’ve had it with libs. Bring it on... and wait ‘till the next election.
Oh, ACORN types, we’re gonna be the ones at the election booth this time - waiting for you.
And forget about the census.
Ok, I am boggled.....huh?
I don’t shop at whole foods, but not b/c of the prices. The place drips with liberal condescension, at least where I live, and I get dirty looks when I pull in driving our Surburban. Plus, they don’t have a lot of local products that I absolutely cannot live without.
