Seller, beware: Feds cracking down on garage sales

WASHINGTON — If you're planning a garage sale or organizing a church bazaar, you'd best beware: You could be breaking a new federal law. As part of a campaign called Resale Roundup, the federal government is cracking down on the secondhand sales of dangerous and defective products.
The initiative, which targets toys and other products for children, enforces a new provision that makes it a crime to resell anything that's been recalled by its manufacturer.

Well around here that would mean that they would have to crack down on all the illegals. They find empty parking lots and lay out a bunch of crap to sell. They have unlicensed taco trucks in the lots also. I highly doubt in this PC town (Houston) that they have the balls to actually shut any of this down. They’ll probably go to the church bazaars and shut them down instead.

Well around here that would mean that they would have to crack down on all the illegals.You are correct about Houston. I can see them tazing an American grandmother for selling a dinky doile at a garage sale for church donations but the illegals can crap on the police dept. doorsteps and will be given free toilet paper and a ride where ever they want to go except jail or the border.
