Ya, I wonder if he’s really closer to 35%.

I’ve heard that his support among black voters has stayed very strong, even as his support overall has fallen.

So, if you take out the 90+% approval among the approx. 13% of voters who are black, I would believe he’s in the 30s among everyone else.

Of course it’s a long time to the next pres. election cycle, but is it possible another Democrat would make a primary challenge? Maybe Hillary will resign as Sec. of State and become a political “free agent”? And as such a free agent, takes on Obama in ‘12????

That would have to leave a mark, to beat out the Rat incumbent in a Rat primary. That just doesn’t HAPPEN in America.

You're on the right track. Easy way to make the calculation in your head is as follows:

1. Assume there are 100 votes and Obama is getting 45 of them. That's the latest Zogby poll.

2. If he gets 90% of 13 of those votes that about 12 votes - a little less.

3. So the remaining 33 votes (12+33 = 45) comes from the other 87 available votes. So he is getting 33/87. That's the number and it is about 38%. That's his popularity with whites and Hispanics. Not so hot.

Using your numbers for percentage of blacks and their likely 90% approval, I get 39.45% approval among non-blacks. If his approval among blacks is higher than 90%, then his approval among non-blacks decreases accordingly.

+++++++++++++++

Once it's embarassing to be an Obama supporter, we'll know we've succeeded. That's the only language some of the loony left progressives understand. That said, there are a core group of die hards that will hang in there on the way down...

Among black voters, O.J.'s support is still very strong.

If his approval rating gets low enough, she’ll challenge him in the Democratic primaries ala Kennedy vs. Carter in 1976.
