obama: 'We are God's partners in matters of life and death'
Posted on 08/20/2009 9:45:01 AM PDT by RED SOUTH
"We are God's partners in matters of life and death," Obama said, quoting from the Rosh Hashanah prayer that says that in the holiday period, it is decided "who shall live and who shall die." The president ended the call by wishing the rabbis "shanah tovah," or happy new year in reference to the High Holidays a month from now. A reader points out that President Obama's call with the rabbis today as recorded in Rabbi Jack Moline's and other clerics' Twitter feeds freights health care reform with a great deal of religious meaning, and veers into the blend of policy and faith that outraged liberals in the last administration.

Now there's a phrase I've never heard in my entire life.

God told Obama to take over our health care system.
It’s a faith-based initiative.

How interesting that this past week's sermon in my church was from Acts where a demon possessed woman kept going before the apostles and shouting that these are the men of the true God. Paul couldn't take it anymore after a few days and called the demon out of her.
Can someone do this for our president please?

I don’t think God sees us as His partners. He is the potter; we are the clay.

No surprise to me, really... After all back during the election he spoke at a church, and set himself up AS God...
To read the article covering the speech at the church last August & see the video (The quote is at the end of his sermon-like "campaign" speech) at CNN -

It’s better than Allah. I don’t believe I would have the nerve to place myself on the same level as God. What an arrogant fool.

Obama: 'We are God's partners in matters of life and death', Will you please take the pillow off Grandma's face, oh prideful one.
Didn't Saul Alinsky dedicate his Rules for Radicals to someone who had a similar pride?

He’s right, but the “WE” is not the federal government, some govt bureaucrat, or an insco actuary. “WE” are individuals and families who must make sometimes difficult decisions, and who may seek wisdom through prayer.
Healthcare reform must work to return responsibility and choice to the individual and the family.

The big “O” has been making the best arguments against healthcare reform - first comparing the government option to the post office and now admitting that Sarah Palin was right about death panels. Thanks B.O.
