Why euthanasia is so critical to the progressive project is not so easy to grasp

What can be more collectivist than "society" deciding over the life and death of the individual?

....and in the “progressivists” minds there is just a short step between euthanasia and eugenics.

I don't think so. It's pretty obvious. If you're not paying taxes, then you're a drain on the state when it has to pay social security, medicare, medicaid, etc. Then you're worse than a useless eater.

She needs to be making regular noise, no pinch hitter stuff. Put her in the lineup everyday.

Great post and article!

From here on, Palin is no longer simply a politician; she's on her way to becoming a historical figure.

I'm looking forward to the "on her way to" part. Not only should it be good for the nation, but it will drive the lefties totally out of their minds. GO SARAH!!!

Palin, unlike someone like Romney or Gingrich, seems to have a strong sense of morality. She acts impulsively, but not whimsically. She has sense of the moral moment, and the ability to make words tell. Not at all the intellectual, she is obviously--except to the Pharisees--intelligent. Obviously she is doing some reading.

The progressive makes a fetish out of the active life. It is all part of what Jonah Goldberg calls “liberal fascism.”

AGREED.

This woman has saved so many lives just by using FB.

Thank you Sarah.

For the faux conservatives I don’t know what they consider the more egregious sin from Sarah Palin, identifying that ‘death panels’ could exist within the Obamacare legislation or declaring them to be ‘evil’.

Either way instead of being treated as a conquering hero by her own party, Sarah Palin continues to be treated like a pariah. Go figure.

Remember in the wake of her resignation all the sneering libs and “conservative” elites who predicted Palin was through on the national political scene. Now what are they saying? I doubt they’re quite so confident. They better hope Obama’s polls don’t continue to drop (doubtful considering everything he does is a disaster, because he’s looking more and more like a one-term president. Can we say President Palin in 2012?

Glad to see Palin getting kudos. I even got a liberal friend to admit that she was very effective last week.

I don't expect anything substantive from the Romney butt-boys over at NR, though. They are so over as the conservative publication of record.

Just remember, Palin adds about as many Facebook fans per week as Romney has in total. That should tell you all you need to know.

Sarah Palin - She's the real thing.

I seem to recall Obama saying publicly (during the election campaign?) that we should have something like the NHS in England. They have death panels. Sarah is the only one who called attention to this fact.

She is awesome!

“If Palin were to save the planet from alien invasion, Frum would have something kind to say for the invaders”

Paraphrase of Churchill's famous statement (presumably about our alliance with Stalin) that ‘If Hitler invaded Hell I would say a few kind words for the devil in Parliament’.

"Remember CAROUSEL!!"

"Logan's Run"- Good movie- and has some relevance to what's happening in our government (at least in terms of its general theme).

I'm going to see if I can rent it somewhere.
