So you think that a patient should not be able to request this counseling regarding options and get it covered by Medicare?

I do not think that the Federal Government should be involved in end of life counseling. It is between the patient, his doctors, and his family. There are many chaplains around this great Country in hospitals not to mention churches who are available for this kind of counseling. Hospice did a wonderful job with my Dad.

I don’t want the federal government involved in mandating end of life counseling which is what we are talking about with this healthcare bill.

Do I think it should be part of Medicare — NO! Why does everything have to be paid for by the Government when there are senior advocates everywhere?

What happened to people taking care of themselves instead of asking the Federal Government to do it?
