JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Former Pink Floyd lead singer Roger Waters narrated a United Nations film about Palestinian difficulties caused by the security fence.
The 15-minute film opened Wednesday to mark the fifth anniversary of the International Court of Justice's opinion that the fence's route is illegal, the French news agency AFP reported.
Waters wrote the lyrics to the Pink Floyd album "The Wall."
Israel says the wall almost completely stopped Palestinian suicide attacks during the second intifada. The Palestinians charge that the fence cuts off Palestinian farmers from their land and will prohibit them from forming a state in the West Bank.
During the film, Waters spray-paints "We don't need no thought control" on the wall.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Pink Floyd. But this has to go into the “shut up and sing” category
Their land? Their land is in Jordan and Egypt and every other Godforsaken pit from which they were spawned.
Waters is an avowed socialist.
I’ve always thought that he was vastly over-rated. Gilmour, Wright, and Mason were the “real” musical talent in the band. In fact, before his death, Richard Wright was working with David Gilmour, performing on is “On an Island” album and going on tour with him.

I’m sure the film includes the suicide bombers and the fact that Ha mas and other groups attacks Israel with increased frequency when Israel makes concessions, Right??
David Gilmour is a lefty as well, but even he would tell Roger to STFU.
Hmm, "We don't need no education" seems more appropriate here. ;->
I used to love listening to Pink Floyd.
A couple of years back, I went to a Roger Waters concert, and it was FULL from beginning to end with his political liberal crap, complete with giant airborne pig that they released into the sky with “Fck Bush” (as I recall) written on it.
I went with a large group of friends, and I was steaming, but I didn’t want to ruin it for the others, so I sat there and kept my mouth shut.
To this day, I have not been able to listen to Pink Floyd. I cannot separate it now.
Its easy for him to say, he doesn’t live there.
If he decides to live there, he’ll learn to appreciate the fence pretty darn quick.
Ruck Foger Waters.
Yep...IMHO, Gilmour has grown old far more gracefully than most of his peers throughout the industry. I'd love to see him in concert at least one more time.
LEFT SIDE: No Muslims around him.
RIGHT SIDE: Just came from a mosque.
Hello Roger.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?
Pink Floyd. I remember them.
Waters is an idiot.
The Floyd rocks but Waters sucks.
Pink Floyd is great. But listen to Waters’ songs, especially on The Final Cut, to see he is a very bitter man.
Water's father Eric Fletcher Waters was killed in WWII when he was an infant. He has hated wars and perceived "warmongers" ever since. People like this are blind to evil such as Hamas because Israel is more powerful--therefore they must be the aggressor (like Argentina below).
