The popular photo sharing website Flickr has taken down the original version of the now famous Obama Joker poster thats been sweeping the nation.
Apparently, management is concerned about a copyright infringement issue due to the appearance of the Time magazine logo in Firas Alkhateebs parody that ended up being reprinted with the word Socialism at the bottom.
Oddly, a quick search of Flickr identified a number of Bush parodies with Times logo present (vulgarity alert below the fold).

Occasionally parodies are successfully sued when they are so good that they make it look like the object of the parody actually intended to make a statement through the parody. I surmise Time sent Flickr a cease-and-desist and Flickr folded.
It’s not like there aren’t any other places to see it on the Internet. I only go to Flickr as last resort, anyway.
