Several Gun-Toters Attend Obama Protest

PHOENIX (Aug. 17) - About a dozen people carrying guns, including one with a military-style rifle, milled among protesters outside the convention center where President Barack Obama was giving a speech Monday — the latest incident in which protesters have openly displayed firearms near the president. Gun-rights advocates say they're exercising their constitutional right to bear arms and protest, while those who argue for more gun control say it could be a disaster waiting to happen.

Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday's event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn't need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested. The man with the rifle declined to be identified but told The Arizona Republic that he was carrying the assault weapon because he could. "In Arizona, I still have some freedoms," he said. Phoenix police Detective J. Oliver, who monitored the man at the downtown protest, said police also wanted to make sure no one decided to harm him.

The media does not want you to know which side he is on and do not say, however, you can see he is in a group of pro-obama supports carrying signs and the girl behind him is wearing her union shirt....all smiling while he is being filmed.

Don’t believe that for a minute....he’s from out of state and shows up wearing a tie carrying a weapon. This was a liberal plant

Thanks!! from your link

Mostly, he won't be on Chris Matthews because Chris B. prefers to remain relatively annonymous. I was there with him today (we're fellow activists from the same group).
The reason he wasn't arrested, apart from the fact he is black, is because we called Phx.P.D. last night to inform them we were coming. We told them there would be several of us,...but left out the part about the AR-15.
They assigned us a P.D. liazon officer,
who met us down there and was our own personal escort the entire time.
Everyone was well-behaved and all went well. We had no intention of confronting anyone.
We were there for the photo op. We couldn't let New Hampshire out-do us now, could we?!

Can’t hear the black gun tottin’ man’s words. I think he was a plant who failed because he carried the guns but couldn’t bring himself to act as if he was a Constitutional Conservative.

Chicago Thuggery gone wrong?

Just looking at way he is packing the firearms. Left side holster suggests left handed yet his weapon is slung right side. Then he says he is not from AZ but open carries anyway .....just some stuff that made me wonder.

Good catch. I live in AZ, and this was the speculation on local talk radio this morning.

Considering the investigative anal exam given to Joe the Plumber, Palin's kids, etc, why are the mediots so uninterested in Gun Guy?.

Are we hatched from different eggs than the people in positions of (armed) authority?

In the liberal mind, we must be.

If, at our core, we all have the potential to be a police officer, soldier, secret service agent, etc, how is it that unless we hold such a position, we can't be expected to possess the intellect or restraint to do so?

The dirty little secret is that we, the citizenry, hire them to do these jobs because we are busy with our own lives, not because the responsibility is beyond our grasp.

The other dirty little secret is that liberals have no problem with armed police and military because as politicians, they have the ability to give them orders to do their bidding. We the people on the other hand, who are free at least for now to think for ourselves, are anathema to a liberal because they can't control us in the same way. That is what scares the tights off of them, and why they desperately, in any way possible, want to disarm us.

So how does health-care fit into this?

That's easy, and it's the dirtiest little secret of all. They hope the citizenry doesn't figure it out until after the fact, when they would be powerless to change it, and that secret is, if they can't outright ban the citizenry from owning weapons because of that damned constitution, they must find another way, and you can bet it will have something to do with "the children", and that's where health-care enters the scheme.

If they could ram through their agenda of health-care, and make the government the sole arbiter of what is good for society and what is not, it will be no time at all before they try to ban firearms from homes citing statistics of children killed or injured in the home due to firearms. Never mind that more children drown in five-gallon buckets every year. That statistic is carefully and conveniently avoided, because it doesn't fit their agenda.

The fact is, they don't care about the children at all, and 50 million aborted children is testament enough to that. So no matter what they say, or how loudly they say it, or the rivers of crocodile tears they may cry, it won't be about "the children"

It would be because they know that when and if we have our own "Bastille day", WE WON'T BE BRINGING BUCKETS.

There’s a lot of confusion on that.

I know someone who knows him, and word is he’s NOT an O supporter.
