Can you imagine if Boeing, the very first time it flew the 747, didn't have just two test pilots in the cockpit, but a cabin filled with fare-paying passengers in the back!
Making 300 million Americans depend on the untested, risky Obamacare scheme, designed by politicians not doctors, for their critically important healthcare is like having a brand new type airliner, designed by whores amd horoscope writers, fly for the first time, not with just two test pilots, but with everyone in America on board!
A big grocery store moves into a town and offers prices so low they drive every other store out of business. When there's only store in town, they raise the prices through the roof.
That type of unfair competition has been outlawed.
But it's what's dems are pushing with health care. They'll offer the lowest price - companies will buy into it as it's a short term benefit - and when all the insurance companies are broke, the gov system raises prices, installs their committees that offer "pay to play" favors. If you don't like it, tough. They're the only "store" in town.
A PETITION ON FACEBOOK FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RESTORATION
...and, hehehe, that is als why so many "fishy" posters, conversations, and emails are showing up all over the nation.
This is kind of like the stimulus package, which was just random acts of wasteful spending. This health care plan is becoming random acts of government regulation. There is no comprehensive plan on what is trying to be accomplished. No one looking at this can make any sense out of what anyone is doing.
The 747 turned out to be one of the most successful longest running aircraft ever designed.
FAIL.
I can just see some DUer latching onto this as a perfect example of why we're so reactionary that we're afraid of progress and would still be flying tri-motors if not for progressives.
Seriously, why not ask the mods to delete your thread and start over?
Maybe the Titanic. Heralded as the safest, unsinkable ship ever built.
Much better.
Boeing had professionals design and build the 747 based on years of experience and corporate knowledge. A first flight of the 747 full of paying passengers would be infinitely safer than what the govt is undertaking with healthcare.
LoL!
Exactly.
Factually inaccurate; Jack Waddell, Brien Wygle, and Jesse Wallick were on the flight deck, p*ss poor analogy.
His point seems to be: we already have some form of govt.-run healthcare, what's to worry about? In baseball, that's called having a man on second (the go-ahead run) but a batter (or two) is needed to bring him home. This means the socialists have a guy on second- so what? When Hillary stepped up to the plate in '93, she fanned three fastballs and had to sit her fat behind down on a seat in the dugout.
So, let's see: the Socialists have a guy on second in scoring position, another on first (let's call him Public School's System) and Barry at the plate with an Ump named MSM calling balls and strikes. Should be a breeze, shouldn't it? Not so fast, on the mound is a guy recently called up from the Minor's team "Tea Party" by the name, Townhall Protester. This guy knows where Barry likes the pitch, Low and Outside, real low, lowdown low, Chicago "almost in the dirt" low.
The first pitch is high and inside, just below the chin, which causes Barry to back off the plate he'd been hogging. Townhall calls it his "snowblower", learned while playing in Alaska. With the count one and two, this is going into extra innings. The Socialists figuered they'd have this game done before the August break. They figuered wrong.
A better analogy would be a new drug being put on the market, and the goverment wants the US citizens to test it.
Or they build a new Skybus.......
they even did a barrel roll with one to test how strong it was.
There were two test pilots.... and a test flight engineer. (He is the guy sitting sidesaddle.)
And, if you think that it makes any significant difference to the analogy, then can we put your picture in the encyclopedia under “Anal Retentive?)
But we didn’t test it the first time with 450 fare-paying passengers in the back!
That was the 707
