Todays tracking polling on Obama' decline
For anyone who has paid any attention, he's had two bad townhall events since Friday. He couldn't even provide coherent answers to the softballs and the one or two meaty questions got him flustered and/or angry.
He's clearly working above his abilities. He's compensating by surrounding himself with his clique of goons (aka czars) and lashing out personally at all who dissent.
It's tragic that the country selected this man for our highest office.
Like it!
Another Tim McVeigh would put him over the top.
Must be racism...
Soylent Green
from recycled Congress Critters
I recall that I really couldn't see Obama actually getting elected either.
When is the next “Town Plant” meeting? So he can drop another point.
That suit is looking emptier and emptier. Guess invoking Granny for the 200th time is wearing a little thin.
“Uniformed community organizers!”
... and Congress is special, they are above us, and therefore should have their own meal plan, from this recycled food.
sam paine: “Another Tim McVeigh would put him over the top.”
GAB: “We must avoid making any move that could be seen as similar to Timothy McVeighs response. We don’t have to resort to any violence, but we do have to stand together, stand fast, and push back when we are pushed.”
I could be wrong, but I read sam’s post to mean that THEY are not above manufacturing a national crisis of some type in order to bring zero’s numbers back up — the crisis being instigated by conservatives, of course.
That's not so much of a problem. The problem is "who is 'we'"?
Was the guy brandishing a 9mm at the New Hampshire townhall, a states-righter a 'we?'
Were the kids and thugs who were taunting the lawful British sentries at the Boston Massacre "one of us?"
I'd ask you to consider that the problem is not with the revolutionary act, which can be started by any miscreant...but how the reaction to it forms.
The Alamo was populated with criminals and castaways from other parts of the country, and for better or for worse, Santa Anna was a representative of the lawful government.
OTOH, David Koresh received no help from 'we the people', and the victors advertised him as a typical right-wing child molester.
If we’re ignorant enough to throw out everyone in Congress, we will end up with a bigger mess than we have now. Read some history. Any history.
The shine done wore off the shiney new toy
The "soft" approvers have been steadily drifting away into the "disaprove" column. Look at trends. Back in 7/25, we had 30% strong approval and 19% moderate approval. Now we have 32% and 15%.
As Obama's absolute approval numbers decline, look for his supporters to become more rabid.
Partly, but my thinking in #32 is that such catalysts are by definition uncontrolled. You can't keep the fringe on either side from creating a crisis.
The question really is, what will happen subsequent to a crisis.
I submit that the statists will ruthlessly crack down on the 2nd amendment, etc. They will execute their existing plan with fervor, whether they create the nut or someone we'd otherwise agree with goes nutty.
"We" however, have no fiery Sam Adams that twinkles with the opportunity turn tragedy in liberty's favor.
My thinking is that the event will occur, it won't matter who was really responsible, and that the statists are best positioned to capitalize on it.
This line about McVeigh is a democrat talking point. We don’t need to help the other side here folks.
And it is the height of arrogance that he STILL has not read the bill (HR3200). With his incorrect and non-responsive answers to questions about HR3200, he is proving that he has NOT read the bill.
That is arrogant.
