Last serious bout of flu that I got was December 1976. A mild, mild case was in February 1993.
I haven't gotten a flu shot since ‘69 and I won't be getting them just because I've gotten older.
Now I have had bronchitis twice within the past 18 months. I will be getting a pneumonia shot within the next couple of months to lessen the chances of lung infections going into pneumonia (now that I've be come prone to them).
Here too. I had the one in '76 and I ended up with double pneumonia after a week. I've had mild cases of flu since then but nothing like I did that time. I will never take another flu vaccine again.

I wonder how many non-vaccinated people would have even been exposed to the virus in the first place had some terrified self-centered, pansy-arsed little jerk not allowed him/herself to be infected with the virus in the first place?
Hmmmm? I guess we'll never no eh? No one ever wants to do studies on the residual effects brought on by these "vaccinations". Just so long as the one getting the shot thinks he/she is protected that alone justifies endangering the lives of every person he/she comes in contact with. Personally, I think that anyone that wants to receive the vaccination do so with the understanding that he/she will be quarantined for the duration of 30 days or longer should the effects have not worn off by the end of that 30 day period of time. This way we can insure that no one will contract the disease from a government infected "Typhoid Mary."
Again... Just a thought.
Does anyone know of a person who has contracted swine flu and how bad were the symptoms. I know of about five people who had a bad flu but were never tested for swine flu. If it is just a bad flu ...why the vacine?

Other than mandatory shots in Navy I have never taken the flu shot offered.
I have never had the flu (extended anyway) and have had 1 physical in the last 50 years (3 years ago)and am in perfect health.
When this MANDATORY shot comes along, I will not get it either but then again OBAMASCARE may help as I will be 70 in OCT and we all know they can’t/won’t waste the miracle on us “OLD FARTZ”

So they are kicking around the idea of forcing this vaccine on us and/or our children and are also immune from lawsuits?!?!
They might as well come to my home with a weapon drawn on me. They are pushing us into violence and I have not figured out why yet. I have my theories but nothing definite, i mean they know we are incredibly well armed and MORE than willing to kill in defense.

The question remains: WHY should we trust the Government and their hand-picked pharmaceutical suppliers when it comes to vaccines, when their track record suggests that they are not only utterly incompetent but perhaps criminally negligent?
The vaccine companies are, in fact, immunized from lawsuits by legislations passed earlier this decade. The only recourse to someone injured or to the families of those killed by vaccines is to seek relief from the vaccine injury court, which really means having a government employee sit as judge while Dept of Justice lawyers act as the defense team.
The fact that Congress made a special effort to shield the companies is the smoke to the vaccine injury fire.
If that were effective in preventing flu, nobody would have the flu except for those who never come out except at night.
The study I referenced in my prior post #8 was based on supplemental Vitamin D, 2000 IU per day, and I think I’ll go with that instead of trusting good ol’ Mr. Sun, thanks very much anyway.
ALL vaccine manufacturers are immune from lawsuits. There is just a big fund set up by the govt that pays out hush-money to those injured so the pharmaceutical companies/doctors never have to admit fault or pay. They basically say ‘you think your child was injured by X vaccine, but we will never admit it, so here’s some money. Just go away.’ I don’t know how anyone cannot see the evil going on here. This whole swine flu thing is waking a few people up to the reality, but it has been going on a long time.

Hey back in late 60’s they instituted the ‘draft lottery’ so the ‘anointed’ would have a better chance to get out of it prior doing away with it entirely..
MAYBE they can have an ‘OLD FARTZ’ lottery to decide who will get treated or not. I shouldn’t say that so loud as these idiot pols would probably think WE would like that—

Given their past record of using American citizens as guinea pigs for their *experiments*, I doubt any sincerity on the Gov's part. Also given the *Socialist* ideas of population control, health care methods, etc. this group of cabinet members and advisers Obama has gathered together, I shudder at the possibilities.

Ok. Good point. I just figured that since many people get low on their vitamin D in winter, perhaps the “low-D” people are more likely to get it. Hence, an extra effort to get outside might be beneficial.
Other question: how much milk/fish/dairy would you have to drink to get 2000 IU per day?
Also, are you suggesting taking that dose every day until the flu crisis passes? Are there any side effects from that dosage?
