Ping.
I somewhat understand our involvement in Iraq, and our initial involvement in Afghanistan. However, why are we still there (Afghanistan)? I say, let that worthless peace of sand revert to the Taliban (which will happen eventually anyway) and get the hell out of there.
Sounds like the Embassy Proximities targeted.

KABUL Defense ministry spokesman says blast in Afghan capital was suicide car bomb.
That worked out great the last time we tried it. [/s]
?
Oh, well, you miss the point of “dear leader’s” mission there, which he hasn’t actually outlined yet, but plans to do next month, after countless more young men and women are put in harm’s way. Of course, he can’t admit his actual mission for having our brave soldiers there—and I dare not even speak it.
But we all know why he has them over there.
I saw we should first fuse the Taliban permanently into the rocks and hills in southern Pakistan -then leave. IF the Afghan's still can't shoot the few remaining Taliban in their midst, well then too bad. Misery deserves it's own company.
If they want to live in the most miserable, worthless place on the planet, and have the Taliban do the near impossible and make it yet even more miserable- then they deserve it.
No, we all dont know. Obviously we (I) dont understand your argument. Please elucidate.
I don't. Care to share?
Thank you for the ping Jet Jaguar.

“Huge blast at Nato base in Kabul”
SNIPPET: “A suicide car bomb has exploded outside the Nato headquarters in Kabul, killing at least three people and wounding at least 14, Afghan officials say.”
What the heck are you talking about?
Speak clearly or go pound sand.
Afghanistan was a base of operations for a group you may have heard of - Al-Qaeda. You may have heard of the 1993 World Trade Center attack, or maybe the Bojinka Plot, or the 1998 embassy bombings, or the USS Cole attack. Plus there was this little event on September 11, 2001.
You'll notice that we have not been attacked since we invaded. Giving the enemy a safe place to plan and organize is not a good idea.
“Suicide Bomb At Afghan NATO Base Kills Three”
BREAKING NEWS6:28am UK, Saturday August 15, 2009
SNIPPET: “A suicide car bomb has exploded outside the NATO military HQ in Kabul, killing three people and wounding at least 70, the defence ministry has said.”
SNIPPET: “”The explosion is in front of the ISAF main gate and it was a suicide attack,” a witness said.
“Several vehicles have been badly damaged and must have lots of casualties. I could see people lying there.”
NATO’s headquarters is on the same street as the US Embassy and presidential palace in the Wazir Akhbar Khan district.
Afghanistan’s Transportation Ministry lies across the street.
It was the first suicide attack on the city in months, after a spate of such blasts last year claimed by the Taliban and other insurgent groups.”
